Death... and me

Chapter 3647: Celestial Bodies

Chapter 3647: Celestial Bodies

Those, obviously, weren’t real planets, suns, etc, just projections. They didn’t have the real things’ sizes either. And yet, they carried immense power, something that these experts, with their cultivations suppressed, couldn’t take lightly.

*Zuuuull...*

*BOOM!*

One of them fell over a kilometer away from where the twins’ group was located. But even then, the blast caused by it forced away. Trees were uprooted, the ground cracked, and the Divine Energy burst seemed capable of breaking one’s bones.

Werkel looked up, and that was nothing but a single one of those celestial bodies. Many, many more were falling at high speeds, speeds higher than what he himself could move in this state. "I’m absolutely not trying it. You guys go and do whatever you want. I will wait outside this Astral Tree range for a day, and if you don’t come back, then I’ll go ahead on my own."

Elsie and Royer also stopped. "There isn’t really anything for us up there. We don’t use Starlight Energy. We will leave with Werkel and wait as well. If we don’t see each other again, I wish you good luck."

Roan kicked a tree that flew in his direction away, nodding right after. "Very well."

Werkel, Royer, and Elsie turned around and left. Royer and Elsie intended to do it from the very start anyway. In fact, the two weren’t sure if they would try to push to the end since the Camazotz Bats could suddenly kill them for their energy.

"What about you, Rifindio?" Kentucky asked the bat on his side. "The Starlight Energy up there really doesn’t have much use for you either."

"I’m going with you guys," Rifindio had made up his mind. "Maybe there is some other treasure. Even if there isn’t, I don’t think it would be right to abandon you guys after this long. Last but not least, what if I meet a Camazotz Bat while we are apart? You are the only ones capable of stopping them from killing me for my blood and energy."

"Well, that’s true." Kentucky nodded. "Then be careful!"

*Boom, boom, boom...*

Depending on the celestial body, the explosions were bigger or smaller. The comets, asteroids, etc, carried the smallest power, so the twins’ group made use of that.

"There are too many of them falling, so it is impossible to dodge them all. Aim at the small ones and destroy them!" Roan ordered, and everyone went all out.

’Red Death, Death Cross!’

A big asteroid was cut into four pieces, opening a passage in the middle as the pieces fell on four different sides. But right behind it, another one followed in its shadow, an even bigger one.

Rean and Kentucky jumped ahead, following the momentum of Roan’s attack that cut the previous one.

’Red Life, Flame Emperor Sword!’

’Divine Bird Strike!’

*Boom!*

Rean and Kentucky concentrated their attacks at the center as well, causing that asteroid to explode.

Its fragments, however, began to rain down on the twins’ group.

Celis and even Rifindio acted at that point. Blood Spears and Thousands of Vines shot upward, striking all those falling rocks.

*boom, boom, boom, boom...*

After a few seconds, they came from behind that apocalyptic scene unscathed, continuing to run. Well, compared to what it looked like around where the projections of planets, suns, etc fell, this was still a walk in the park.

Roan looked at the astral tree in the distance and then at the celestial bodies falling. They didn’t simply fall everywhere. Instead, they seemed to concentrate on the area where experts could be found. So, at the astral tree, he could see the celestial bodies that were still falling near the ground. "We have time, let’s speed up!"

Their group acted in synch, only Rifindio lagging slightly behind but definitely not being a burden. After his breakthrough and evolution, he could now carry his own weight. He could destroy some of the smaller comets and definitely help with the aftermath of the destruction of bigger bodies.

Kentucky couldn’t help but feel emotional. "They grow so fast..."

Rifindio’s mouth twitched. Sure, Kentucky is his master, but what with the sudden kid treatment? "Fuck!"

Their group was doing a great job avoiding the most dangerous areas, mostly thanks to Rean.

"Right. Push forward. Stop for eleven seconds. Kentucky and Celis destroy the comets in the center. Roan, you and I together on that asteroid from behind. Rifindio, there will be some fragments coming. Deal with them."

All those projections fell like giant balls of fire due to friction, causing Yang Energy to move rampant in the environment. Let’s not even mention the suns’ projections, which were basically big balls of Yang Energy. As the Lord of Yang Energy himself, Rean had an easier time reading their paths in the middle of all that chaos.

Thirty minutes went by, and they moved several tens of kilometers each minute. Finally, they could see the base of the tree in the distance, as well as the celestial bodies now falling somewhere a third up the trunk.

Now that they were here, they noticed that many giant vines wrapped around the Astral Three, which could be used to climb it. They were also impressively resistant. Those celestial bodies fell on the tree and the vines, and yet, they didn’t seem to suffer any damage.

Rean didn’t look at that for long, paying attention to where they were. "Fuck! There is no choice. We will need to destroy one of the planets. All other routes are a death sentence."

No one complained. If that was the case, they could only take it head-on.

They shot forward, running from the other celestial bodies falling around, but that also put them directly in the collision path with that planet’s projection. Just as it was about to fall on them, they all acted.

’Kawa’s Divine Thrust!’

’Divine Energy Draining Prison!’

Kentucky’s body lit up with white and black flames. Then, a projection of a Minokawa in Flames shot forward, carrying much of Kentucky’s power.

Meanwhile, Celis’ Divine Energy Draining Prison, which was not his Energy Draining Domain, materialized many thick and powerful roots and vines. They didn’t create a prison, though. Instead, Celis controlled it so that they would become a kind of cushion, leaving an opening at the center for Kentucky’s attack.

*Boom!*

The bird strike created a hole in that planet’s projection, but it didn’t destroy it. Nonetheless, that was enough.

Rean and Roan passed ahead of Kentucky, jumping into that hole while Celis ’cushion’ decelerated the planet’s fall slightly, giving them just enough time to act at the right moment.

Both Rean and Roan’s bodies burst with Bright Red and Dark Red Lightning, a sign of their Light and Dark Elements being mixed with their Red Lightning. Sky Energy followed, as well as every single other power addition they had. Together, they acted.

’Red Death and Life, Seventh Form, Crimson Sun and Moon Obliteration!’
