Chapter 1626: Qing'e's Assistance

The bubbles continued to pop on the surface, and more and more black snake corpses floated up with them. Their numbers were shocking.

"I'm going now," she softly said to Li Luo before vaulting into the blood lake, cruising through it like a mermaid as she rushed into its depths. The blood seemed to explode with fury the instant she came into contact with it, and the sanguine aura surged towards her with a howl.

Jiang Qing'e was unfazed by Shen Jinxiao’s words. Instead, a look of mockery emerged in her molten gold eyes.

She smeared her fingers with golden crystal marrow and then traced them along the edges of the Holy Phoenix Parasol, creating a series of runes.

Her face paled when she completed the task, her eyes filled with determination. She then swung the Holy Phoenix Parasol violently, drawing out the clarion cry of a phoenix.

The Holy Phoenix Parasol streaked through the blood lake with a trail of light, ferociously crashing into the blood crystal.

A crisp, crunching sound rang out at the bottom of the lake. The impact set off waves that traveled all the way to the surface.

Li Luo had been watching everything closely. If Jiang Qing'e had failed to break through the crystal, he would use the source origin core yet again.

But then the sound of shattering could be heard.

Blood-red cracks ran across the whole crystal.

A moment later, a large piece of the crystal fell off, leaving behind a large crevice.

At the same time, Shen Jinxiao's venomous howl of hatred and fear rang out.

Jiang Qing'e approached the crack she had created and took a closer look at the black Abyssal Snake. Her body started to change, transforming partially into a human. The upper part of her body was covered in traces of rot and erosion, like blood rose petals that gave her an enchanting and unsettling beauty.

Jiang Qing'e stretched her hand out. Li Lingjing's gaze flickered momentarily before grabbing her hand. She then managed to escape the confines of the crystal with her help.

"Thank you," she whispered.

"There's no need to thank me. You've helped Li Luo countless times, so take this as returning one of those favors," Jiang Qing'e replied.

"Go. You don't need to do anything else." Li Lingjing loosened her grip.

Jiang Qing'e didn't hesitate to leave, emerging from the surface of the lake.

She then arrived next to Li Luo.
