Shi Lang killed the monk by reducing his body to ashes. The monk had an extensive cultivation base but he could not do anything to stop the destruction because his lifespan was taken away from him.
As the monk disappeared in the wind and Shi Lang said, “You all must be thinking that I was a bit too much, but believe me, had I wanted to I would have killed him like a pig and his blood would be staining the streets.”
His words woke them all up but they were still not out of the spell cast by the repetitive preaching of the Zen Sutra. One of the city guards picked up his spear and said, “I dare you to fight me, I will avenge the holy master.”
Shi Lang looked at the man and then the nine point seal of supreme appeared on his glabella. The aura radiating from him alone was enough to cause the people to kneel down and acknowledge his supremacy.
The Terran took a deep breath and asked, “Have you woken up now?”
The guard shivered and bowed his head as he said, “Yes, my lord.”
Shi Lang looked at the people below and asked, “How can you idiots just believe any passing scammer and think that what he says will lead you to the Great Dao? Have you learned nothing by facing the tribulations of your life? Don’t you know that Great Dao is your own to discover and it changes for everyone?”
The people nodded as Shi Lang scolded them. His words resonated with the depth of their souls and the common citizens were not the ones who woke up but even the buddhist disciples also felt the weight and truth of his words.
Shi Lang looked at the monks who were pondering over his words and said, “It is not your fault to listen to what your seniors say, however, when you decide to walk a path and you start tracing on the heels of those ahead of you, it is called losing sight. No matter how well you trace the steps, no matter how good you become, the truth is that you won’t be yourself when it all ends. The choice is yours, whether you wish to be yourself or a puppet.”
The words stirred up a storm in the hearts of the spectators. Shi Lang was tired of continuously handling and awakening the people. He took a deep breath and was about to leave the city when he received a call from Shi Tao.
The young man accepted the call and asked, “What is going on? Why are you frowning so hard?”
Shi Tao said, “We have trouble.”
The Terran raised his brow and Shi Tao gulped before reporting, “I went to the Dao Plain, cultivated well. I was accompanied by Uncle Darcx, Uncle Jenkins, and Aunt Carole. However, we were ambushed by a ghost cultivator race, the Nirvana Phantoms.
I managed to run off, but the seniors are still stuck in a siege. They are holding on, but it seems that the Nirvana Phantoms have no intention to let them leave. They are attacking the defense array regularly, and I am not sure if the elders can survive for long.”
Shi Lang took a deep breath and after some thought he said, “Fine, get Miwa ready, I will go inside the Dao Plain and get some exercise.”
Shi Tao replied, “Those people have profound Yin arrays to defend themselves.”
Shi Lang nodded and said, “Don’t worry, I have my own means.”
After saying this, he asked if the three disciples were doing okay, and he found that Xiao Meng has been learning the knacks of management from Commander Silence, and at the same time, Yu Xeidi has come out the strongest in the same realm when she competed against the disciples of the Martial Spirit Sect.
Hao Mei has been gaining fame because of her skills with the Pill refining and she has also managed to become a sword master while practicing with Xiao Meng. She was now addressed as the Pill Queen of the Shura Sect.
Yu Xeidi had already become the Blade Princess, and Xiao Meng was still too young to gain any moniker from the people, but she was still very hard working. Her natural talent was not too high, but she made up for it with her hard work and persistence.
Shi Tao told Shi Lang that they have established teleportation routes between various sects and they moved through those channels only.
After a few minutes of conversation, Shi Lang helped his daughter calm down and then he decided to move back to the Asura Hall. On the way he passed through many cities, and made a turn to check on the cave where he met the little monk and the tiger subduing mandala. However, when he reached there he found that the cave had collapsed and the signs of a tribulation were all over the place.
He moved quickly to the town nearby and found no trace of the little monk. Earlier he was worried if the Mandala failed he tribulation and left the monk alone. However, now, it was not like that, and Shi Lang asked around, only to find that the Little Monk appeared a few days ago with a young woman and they both left the place.
He also made a small stop at the saber mountain and found that the city had already established trading relations with the Asura Hall. The Terran then moved quickly and came to the periphery of the Asura Hall. He moved through the arrays and remarked, “These people are so paranoid that they even locked the space, like am I the hall master or some invader?”
As soon as he went inside the walls, the disciples all sensed his aura. He did this deliberately so that they don’t attack him as a reflex. Sure enough, the disciples in the surroundings had their weapons at hand and ready to attack Shi Lang.
After confirming that it was Shi Lang they all bowed and dispersed while the Terran came to find Shi Tao, and as soon as he saw her, his blood began to boil.
