Code Zulu Alpha: Nerd in the Apocalypse!
Chapter 1398: Floaters From The CoastWhile I wanted to fully savor the servings of ice cream in our bowl, Quinn just really couldn’t help herself as she slathered my dick with the same stuff she pushed onto us.
She was literally giving me head as the other two watched us while sensually eating spoonfuls and spoonfuls of the dessert—but before we could even cap off the night, I just received an emergency call from one of the officers holding down our outpost in the Manila Bay.
Quinn never looked so miffed as I got up and answered my phone but she continued blowing me regardless of the situation.
[This is Officer De Los Santos speaking, I am calling the right number?]
"Yeah, it’s me. What seems to be the problem?"
[Sorry to bother you in such an inopportune time—]
"Emergencies happen, just tell me how I can help."
[Alright, just so it happens, the waves tonight are a little strong, and even though we have those barriers that could disperse them, they don’t have the power as our netting to filter the junk in the bay—or whatever else comes in the ocean.]
"I see— so do you need more reinforced netting or is it another unforeseen problem?"
[The latter. The reason our netting broke into pieces was that an influx of bodies—you know, both living and dead—washed into the bay and they numbered at least more than a few thousand. It might be five digits at this point since they’re filling the coast as far as the eye can see. The whole Manila Bay might be filled with ’em.]"Ah, fuck. Did the other harbor contact you?"
[They have and they are having the same problem as us but we’re afraid that the ones we aren’t able to fish up and clear or the ones that would get washed onto places we don’t have a proper hold over would be in a bit of a pickle. We’ve already started mobilizing our forces but we’d probably need more hands on deck, sir. Respectfully—]
"Duly noted. Thanks for the report but yeah, get started on ringing up everyone we have contact to—even the ones in Subic Bay, we’ll never know—and I’ll have my people here do the same thing but at the same time, send a broadcast to all the available channels. While that’s happening, make sure the place is well-lit and have ample space for stacking up bodies.
Just gather the resources for having a large pit to burn them later since they still need to dry— Oh, do make sure to dismember them before stacking them up so we wouldn’t have to do the same shit right after we clear them."
[Duly noted, sir. But umm… one more thing?]
"What is it?"
[Coffee would be nice, sir. We’re definitely burning through them…]
"Hah! Gotcha. We’ll bring a few sacks but some of you would have to make do with energy drinks or some shit. Coffee’s literally better than gold now."
[Are we finally running out?]
"If you guys kept planting just potatoes, we will."
[Ah…]
"That’s a story for another day, heh, it just takes time for the next harvest, alright? But we still have plenty. Just be mindful of your spending and I’ll be understanding since this is an emergency." ṜAŊο₿˧
[Alright, sir— Will you be bringing a few people?]
"Something like that. I’ll send the first batch now and the rest will follow in a bit."
[Alright, sir. Thank you.]
With that said, I tried to make Quinn latch off me but she wouldn’t quit without my serving of protein. But yeah, clearing the Manila Bay was that important since it wouldn’t only hinder Quinn from coming back to her garage but our voyage to Japan would also be delayed if that problem wasn’t looked at.
"Just stay still for a minute! A minute wouldn’t hurt!"
"Fuck it, just open your mouth…"
"Oh~ Wait— What are you— WHAT THE FUCKGHGFH!!!"
To her fucking surprise, I shot my load in her mouth—right as she thought that I’ll fuck her throat roughly—but before the other two could request their own servings, I just said that we could always do it in the truck.
So yeah, I began gearing up and calling everyone of importance and the first batch of people I’ve sent over to our outpost were people from the DDR Camp and ones from Pulo.
However, while I was calling over my apprentices, Oscar and the other older folks volunteered to just hold the fort while we were away. In addition, as much as I wanted to take Lois with me, he was in some sort of apprenticeship with Matthew—like Olivia, of course—but I can still take Jared after he sorts himself after leaving Alex’s place.
Then I answered Vera’s call:
[Earl’s already relaying the message to everything we can but do you want me to call Artem and the rest over too?]
"Nah, we’re good. That place also has its purpose and besides, we have the manpower to spare. This is more of a quantity thing, ya know?"
[Alright, but yeah, Bing and his team responded in the call too— wanna send them with Mark’s or do you wanna bring them with you?]
"Mark’s already off?"
[He’ll be in a few minutes. They’re on night duty, luckily, so they’re just waiting for people to relieve them… like you.]
"Huh? Who’s relieving— Oh, hah! That took me a bit. Good one. So yeah, check in with Rin or have her go over there so she can see the list of people who are already awake or who can be woken up as a tribute. But do remember to pad up our people doing watch duty because we’ll be making a lot of buzz this time and this could just be misdirection."
[Really? From the dead?]

"Just to be safe. Just have everyone bust out their cups because it’ll be an all-nighter in the harbor and here."
[Okay, I’ll do that.]
At that point, the night where it should feel warm and cozy suddenly felt alive but disposal of bodies submerged in water was just as important as disposing of the ones walking on land.
But yeah, one of the differences was that their bodies would have a different texture for their skin tissues, and before more of them invade the areas we already cleared from the dead walking on land, we really should head there ASAP.
But yeah, it definitely irks me that as soon as we have cleared a few kilometers of paved road so that we’d have safe passage, we’d have to do it once again because some fucking deadheads decided to take a swim.
Still, we haven’t established where they actually came from yet but other than that, we really should find the key spots from where they could safely walk and hike up to ground level safely—since like the harbors, it’d be tens of feet just to get on solid footing. But yeah, they could number a few or a lot but this was definitely considered a breach.
Because even though we fenced out the roads that would lead to our outposts, we haven’t paid much attention to the ones coming from the water—and even if we do have safeties in place, getting tens of thousands at a time wasn’t part of our plans.
Well, until now.
So after a good hour, we sent more people to help before we officially departed from our HQ. I brought my old crew together with my new crew and brought my puppies plus a few apprentices and some other people who wanted to help.
Other than that, we had big trucks to be used to haul the bodies and line them up in the streets we cleared for us since they needed to be dried up after killing them before we even tried to think of turning them into fertilizer or just straight-up death dust.
"Could they be from the ocean line or have they crossed oceans?" Kaley asked while we were on the road with a larger convoy.
"Could be anything but we’ll see once we check their bodies."
"How?" Quinn asked.
"We’ll have clues from their uniforms or types of cultural clothing they’re wearing—and if we’re lucky, some of them could have a few things in their pockets and whatnot but I’m leaning towards them being from this country.
It’d be a feat for them to cross the waters without their bodies getting turned to shreds—because yeah, soaking for a while in a tub gets your skin soggy, what more if it’s against raging waves and some other shit. And if they have wounds—and of course they would, those are just openings waiting to get violated by the water. And we haven’t even talked about sharks sacrificing themselves for a bite."
Tatiana asked, "That reminds me, seafood is still good to it, right?"
I chuckled, "Same shit happens with sea animals. If they’re infected, they die."
June cut in, "But what about sea plants? Ya know, like seaweed or something?"
