Once the bucket is activated, a thin film of water will appear on its surface as if the bucket is full of water. When objects are dropped into it in this state, the objects will get transported to a distant location.
He brought the bucket to the base and used it to transport everything he wanted from it. In a nutshell, he used it to steal from his job.
The things he stole were money, divine flesh of every kind, energy water, and books about every pathway. Actually, he stole everything that he encountered that was able to fit into the bucket.
He was disappointed by half of what he stole. The lamp bearers lacked money and energy water. What he got from them wasn’t worth the effort.
He got a little over 200 liters of energy water and 1,312 gold coins from the treasury. What impressed him was the wide assortment of divine flesh that the lamp bearers had.
There was divine flesh from 30 pathways all the way from rank 1 to rank 3. Unfortunately, there wasn’t any rank 4 divine flesh.
He muttered to himself, “They probably sent the rank 4 divine flesh that they acquired to the base in the city. This would prevent the base in the town from being attacked by rank 3 godclads who want to become rank 4.”
He understood why there was a limit on what level of divine flesh he was allowed to keep, but he didn’t like it.
As for the information about the pathways that he got from the library, these were more complete than the divine flesh. There was information about the abilities and advancement requirements of 33 pathways up to rank 6.
To make up for his loss, he thought about breaking into the prison and killing the prisoners to take their divine flesh. But he didn’t do so because it would take time, and he was running out of time for the next part of his plan.
He thought to himself, “It is best that I leave something for the Ivory family. Besides, it is unlikely that there is a rank 4 prisoner there.”
After taking all of these things that he wanted from the base, he went to the Ivory family next.
He went to attack the Ivory family as if he was angry about what they did to the lamp bearers and wanted revenge. But what he wanted to do was to steal from them and then use them to get rid of his identity as a lamp bearer.
Since Bushwick and his soldiers left the town, their family will be at its weakest. This gives him the perfect opportunity to rob them.
What he wanted the most was energy water. It wasn’t difficult for him to find it.
He mostly hid himself, but if he couldn’t hide, he would quickly kill any guard that he encountered. The only people he didn’t kill quickly were high-ranking guards or powerful godclads that he encountered.
He didn’t kill them quickly so as to get the location of their store of energy water from them. All he needed to do was ask them where the store was.
The first powerful godclad he met was a rank 1 noble. She heard the noise about an intruder and came out to see who was foolish enough to intrude on the property of the Ivory family.
From her perspective, he had bumped into her by accident when she turned a corner. Only he knew that he had ambushed her.
He saw her mind coming before she reached the corner. So he was waiting for her to turn the corner.
When she did, he activated Sever and impaled her chest with his hand. Once his hand got into her chest, he clamped on her heart with his finger.
Then he asked the woman, “Where do you store your energy water?”
The information flashed briefly in her mind as she recalled it. But she didn’t answer him.
Even though she knew that she was going to die if she didn’t give him what he wanted, she still spat at him and said, “Go to hell, you good-for-nothing piece of…”
He already crushed her heart before she began to speak. But she was very stubborn. She wanted to curse him with all the remaining life that she had in her after her heart was destroyed.
Now that he had the information he wanted, he didn’t have to waste time. He went straight to the storehouse.
Along the way, he met many guards. He was able to avoid most of them and kill the ones he couldn’t avoid easily all because of his Mind Read ability.
He could read their thoughts before they acted, so he was like fish in water. He quickly found the store and broke into it using Sever to destroy the lock.
Then he used the method in the minds of the family members he encountered on the way to disable the arrays. After doing this, he began looting the store.
He could break most barriers with Sever, but it was always better to deactivate them when he could. This helped him save spiritual energy and time, which he could use for looting.
During this time, Bushwick had also reached the base of the lamp bearers and had begun to break into it by force.
Bushwick didn’t take the tunnels. Instead, he broke into the fake base above ground. Then he activated Noble Blood, his rank 1 divine ability, to raise his power to rank 5.
With the power of rank 5, he began smashing into the ground with his fist. His great strength caused the floor of the fake base to break.
After smashing the ground for a few seconds, the ground gave way, and he fell into the real base beneath it. The knights followed him by jumping into the hole in the ground. The warrior stood outside to stand guard.
Bushwick laughed loudly after gaining entry into the base.
He shouted to his men, “Take everything. It is all mine.”
He was in a good mood. Unfortunately, his good mood didn’t last long because someone set off the town-wide alarm system in the Ivory family.
This alarm, like the gateway bucket, was acquired from the White Tower too.
