Allen gazed at the now-unified Shard of the Sun and Shard of the Moon floating inside the test tube. The two Shards had merged into one, and a radiant glow began to emanate from within.

(The quest reward was for a 'Shard of the Sun and Moon,' after all. So they were meant to merge from the beginning. Wait, what's this?)

*Beep beep beep*

Beneath the test tube, several wires connected it to a magical panel. On the panel, inscriptions began to scroll rapidly, written in the divine script used by the God of Magic Isiris. The text filled the entire panel, scrolling automatically as more information appeared.

"Ancient history..."

"Hmm?"

"This is the history of an ancient war from a million years ago! It says that Beast God Garm destroyed the Temple of the God of Armaments Ophoria!"

As a mage by birth, Cecile could comprehend the divine script of the God of Magic Isiris.

(Wait, since when could she read that? The divine script of the God of Magic Isiris is supposed to be a memorization subject. Oh, right... It must be because of Magra's horn.)

Allen recalled that the divine script used by the God of Magic Isiris was not commonly understood in the human realm. However, mages had to learn it to invoke magic by borrowing the God of Magic's power. They memorized the symbols mechanically, without seeking any deeper meaning, as the geometric divine script was designed to be chanted, not understood.

A month ago, Allen had obtained the Dragon God Magra's horn, which allowed Cecile to gain the Divine Technique [Ancient Magic]. Through this profound connection, her understanding of the divine script had advanced significantly.

"This is incredible! These are flawless test results. With this, the most powerful ancient magic will be completed!!"

Just like Cecile, Commander Larappa was feverishly cross-referencing the information on the magical panel with the ancient documents written on parchment, her hands trembling with shock.

(It's astonishing that Larappa has come to understand the divine script this deeply without possessing a Divine Technique.)

"Is it really true? Amazing! I will become the most powerful mage! Gufufu~"

Cecile giggled with excitement, pressing her cheek against the test tube, nearly drooling with anticipation. In this moment, her noble elegance was nowhere to be found.

"Of course! Now, let's get this done."

She climbed onto the platform at the base of the test tube. She opened the lid at the top and carefully retrieved the combined Shard of the Sun and Moon.

"Can we really take them?"

"The information is all we wanted. This, however, is essential for you, isn't it?"

"Thank you, it helps a lot."

The Shard of the Sun and Moon was apparently necessary for summoning an [-] S Rank summon that Allen had yet to unseal. He carefully stored the Shard in his Grimoire.

"Next is the Beast God Garm's tail..."

"Information... analysis. Verification, then experimentation..."

The God of Magic Isiris muttered, still not showing her expression as she handed over the Beast God Garm's tail to Larrappa. Her communication was limited to simple words, but Larrappa seemed to understand perfectly.

(That tail is something Shea worked hard to obtain... it's so fluffy.)

Larrappa, clutching the precious tail that Shea had acquired from Beast God Garm, began preparations for the next experiment. When Allen asked about how Shea had obtained it, she casually mentioned, "I bit it off." Remembering this he began to tremble as he looked at the tail.

But there was no time for Allen to reminisce about how the tail was obtained.

Obtaining the Divine Technique from the Dragon God Magra's horn in the Earth Labyrinth had taken a considerable amount of time. The God of Magic and Commander Larrappa had prioritized their experiments and research over giving Allen his reward, using the materials they had collected.

[The God of Magic's wishlist]-Extra Mode: Heart of Nestirad-Divine Technique: Horn of the Dragon God Magra-Blessing: Shards of the Sun and Moon-Divine Artifact: Tail of the Beast God Garm

(The quest isn't over until you get the reward, just like a trip isn't over until you get home.)

"I apologize, God of Magic Isiris. We've completed the quest, so I would like to receive the promised rewards: your blessing and the divine artifact."

'Uh?'

The God of Magic placed a finger to her lips, tilting her head in a gesture of curiosity.

Allen and his group had brought back what the God of Magic desired because of the promised reward.

"Indeed. The experiments will take time. It would be best if the rewards were given first, God of Magic Isiris."

'Understood. Who wants the reward? Let's start with the Blessing.'

She said, her expression resembling that of a child reluctantly completing homework before playtime. Her pouty lips and the look of annoyance betrayed her reluctance, but she seemed to be holding it back with some effort.

Cecile stepped forward, knelt down, and spoke.

"It's me. Please, grant me the privilege to peer into the depths that you seek, God of Magic Isiris..."

*Paahh!*

(Cecile didn't even get to finish her sentence...)

The God of Magic Isiris extended her hands, and geometric divine script appeared around her arms. The script spiraled down from her fingertips toward Cecile, slowly encircling her entire body. As the circles tightened and touched Cecile, the divine script was absorbed into her body.

"Whoa!? This is incredible. The magic is flowing into me at an astounding rate!"

Cecile raised her hands to her face, astonished. When she clenched her fingers, the divine script that had been absorbed along with the magic power began to emerge, glowing on her fingertips.

'Then the Divine Artifact…wait, it should be around here…'

Cecile was still in shock as the God of Magic turned around and headed to a corner of the laboratory where many materials were piled up.Soon a bunch of monster claws, fangs, and hides began to fly around.

"God of Magic Isiris, if you're looking for the Divine Artifact [Primordial Magic Staff], it's the mixing stick over there."

Larappa stopped the God of Magic's chaotic search.

'I see.'

Larappa stepped onto a platform next to a test tube that contained the Shards of the Sun and Moon, and took out a staff that was submerged more than halfway in a solution.

When she respectfully handed it to the God of Magic, she casually accepted it and thrust it toward Cecile. At the tip of the staff was a spherical object resembling an eye, seemingly able to see through all truths.

"Ah, thank you very much."

Cecile carefully received it with both hands from below, and as if the task was complete, the God of Magic turned on their heel and began giving instructions to the leader.

"So this is the Divine Artifact of the God of Magic. Merus, please appraise it."

'Understood.'

Allen activated the Special Skill [Appraisal] of the summon [Magnifying Glass], which belonged to the weapon slot of Angel B, through Merus.

"Ohhh, what an incredible effect."

Since Allen was sharing consciousness with Merus, the appraisal results flowed into his mind. As he organized the status in the Grimoire, Cecile leaned in to take a look.

"Hey, let me see that too!!"

After obtaining the Divine Technique, Divine Artifact, and Blessing, Cecile's stats increased a lot even though she was still in Normal Mode.

"Well then, we're going to prepare for the battle with Nestirad, so please wait here for a bit."

Allen said, telling Cecile to wait with the God of Magic Isiris, knowing that bringing her along would only add more stress to everyone.

"What's that supposed to mean? Are you really going to be okay?"

"It can't be helped since magic doesn't work at all. You've finally obtained a Divine Artifact, make sure to check its compatibility with Divine Techniques in the meantime."

(With this, only Extra Mode remains. Neither Extra Skills nor divine techniques grow in Normal Mode.)

Skills have Levels, and they get stronger as those Levels increase, but there are limitations to Levels in Normal Mode.

As Allen looked at Cecile, who was overflowing with confidence after finally obtaining the Divine Artifact and Blessing, he thought that he needed to defeat Nestirado quickly and get Cecile into Extra Mode.

"Got it. If it's you, Allen, you'll definitely be fine. I think I'll practice casting magic here as much as I can!!"

Cecile raised her staff and made a gesture as if to unleash magic. Even if her magic level didn't increase, she might not be able to activate it well without training.

Fatigue, injury, anger, and frustration could all affect her ability to properly envision the divine script used by the God of Magic Isiris.

As Allen mentioned that he would practice divine techniques and magic while waiting, a male voice echoed from behind Cecile.

'That's not acceptable.'

"Huh? The God of Space and Time! Why are you suddenly appearing here?"

Cecile exclaimed in surprise, barely managing to speak politely.

'I've been here the whole time…'

(What? It looked like he appeared out of nowhere...)

"Ah, God of Space and Time Desperado. It's been a while."

Allen decided it was best to greet him for the moment.

As Allen and the others focused their gazes on the God of Time, they noticed his straight, long purple hair and his habit of speaking with his eyes closed. He was Desperado, the husband of the God of Magic Isiris.

'The fluctuations in Isiris's emotions have never been this intense, I came to see what was going on, and it seems this is the reason."'

"I see. So that's why you came here?"

(Does he realize they're married?)

'Oh no, no. I want Isiris to concentrate on her research. I'm here to offer you a training ground.'

He had something to offer to Allen's group.
