I Was Caught up in a Hero Summoning, but That World Is at Peace

Chapter 2291: Miyama Kaito's Birthday Celebration Party Continues ㉟

With Luna-san’s reasonably intact sense of shame, the gift-receiving process through the use of parallel worlds was successfully completed. Honestly though, this format was really great.

Since we were using parallel worlds, there was no need to worry about time or rush through things like an assembly line. There was even enough leeway to have relaxed chats with each person, so personally, I was extremely satisfied. If there’s ever a next time, I really hope we use this format again for the gift exchange.

Even though the gift-giving was over, the party itself hadn’t come to an end. There was still one more event to go…… something thought up by the representatives of the Human Realm, apparently. I guess we’ll be transitioning to that next?

“Alright then, now that Kaito-san has finished receiving his gifts without any issues…… shall we take a break? Well, for most people, it’ll feel like we’re taking another break immediately after the last one, but Kaito-san has been receiving gifts non-stop.”

“Actually, how many different parallel worlds did Kai-chan travel to for all the gift handoffs?”

“Kaito-san received gifts from 423 people through the parallel world format. Including casual conversations, it took an average of about 7 minutes per person, which adds up to roughly 50 hours.”

“Ehhhh…… That’s over two full days! Ugh, no way I could handle that. I’d give up somewhere halfway through the first person.”

“……Why would you quit halfway through the first one……? Well, setting Fate-san’s extreme slacking aside, it really did take quite a bit of time. But since the gift receiving was done through parallel worlds, physical fatigue would recover with each transfer, and if he wanted to, he could take breaks at any point.”

When you hear the actual numbers laid out like that, it really does sound like a lot of time. That said, from my perspective, it just felt like time passed while I was happily chatting with people, so I don’t feel like I spent all that long. Not feeling any physical fatigue makes a huge difference.

“Yeah, I mean it sounds mentally exhausting as hell, so Kai-chan really should rest…… rest…… hmm. Shall-tan, I think I might not have inherited all the memories properly? I can’t find any memory of Kai-chan taking a break.”

“……He didn’t take any. In the end, he went all 50 hours straight without a single break.”

“Wait, is Kai-chan even okay? Oh, so that’s why you want to take a break……”

“Exactly. If Kaito-san had been pushing himself or acting fine while actually exhausted, I, Kuro-san, or someone else would’ve stepped in and forced a break. Look, see how Kuro-san is unusually being exasperated over there?”

Turning to look at Kuro in response to Alice’s words, I saw she was indeed giving a faintly exasperated smile. It was the kind of look that practically said, “Good grief, you really are just helpless, Kaito-kun.”

“Kaito-san’s mental endurance is straight-up monstrous, so he’s not even remotely tired, looking totally unbothered. If anything, knowing how Kaito-san thinks, he’s probably genuinely happy he got to talk with everyone thanks to the parallel world format and is wishing the next time goes the same way too.”

“……Yup. Kai-chan really is something else.”

“Well, even though I don’t think Kaito-san is tired…… There are still a lot of people who are concerned or just worried, so we’ll take a break anyway. A change of pace is always good.”

Even though Alice understood I wasn’t mentally fatigued, she still firmly declared that we’d take a break. To be fair, people like Tre-san, Akane-san, and quite a few others had asked whether I was tired during the gift exchanges, so this was probably the safest call.

“Makes sense. Oh hey, Shall-tan, while we’re at it, give me another <Kai-chan’s Insane Episode>, will ya?”

“……Unn?”

Whoa there. Fate-san’s starting to say weird stuff again……

“Well, you know, when I hear stories about how amazing Kai-chan is, I feel really proud and happy as his girlfriend. Basically, it lets me experience this wonderful, heartwarming feeling without doing anything myself, so it’s really easy and fun for me. So gimme more! Like just now, stuff I wouldn’t notice on my own but is totally there, right?”

“……Hmmm. Alright then, here’s one from during this birthday party. Around the middle of the event, Electrone-san made an appearance, right? Fate-san, what did you think when you first saw her?”

“Eh? Well, I mean, she’s a God on the same level as Shallow Vernal-sama, so I thought the pressure, her aura, was absolutely overwhelming.”

Unn? Was there really that kind of pressure when Electrone-san appeared? I only remember it being like a flashy live performance entrance, with a strong visual impact. That’s all I recall……

“Yes, exactly. Whether you call it magic power, divine power, aura, or presence pressure, I’m not really sure what the right term is, but being an Omnipotent God, just her manifesting gave off an extraordinary pressure. It wasn’t the kind of thing that crushed your spirit or anything like that, but there was definitely a heavy presence from her very existence. I’m sure everyone in the venue felt it…… well, it seemed like Electrone-san noticed everyone’s reaction and quickly adjusted herself, so the pressure only lasted a brief moment.”

“Unn. So what about it?”

“Well, the thing is…… Kaito-san, for some reason, maybe because he’s interacted with Gods too much and his senses are out of whack, clearly didn’t feel any of that pressure. Not like he adapted using Sympathy Magic or anything, he just acted totally normal…… I think his only reaction when Electrone-san appeared was something along the lines of “Wow, what an entrance”.”

“……Yeah, Kai-chan really is amazing.”

That one really came out of nowhere for me. I honestly didn’t feel any pressure at all…… Judging by Fate-san and Alice’s reactions, though, it looks like I just completely missed something that everyone else experienced.

Maybe it’s because I’ve talked so much with Shiro-san and Makina-san that I’ve gotten used to that kind of divine aura……

<Afterword>

~ ~The Truth ~ ~

Divine Aura (Omniscient & Omnipotent) : [Well, I mean, even if someone has amazing adaptability, I still have my pride as the divine aura of an Omniscient and Omnipotent God, right? So it’s only natural they’d feel a bit of pressure from a higher being, just until they adapt, of course. Alright then, let’s throw out a little intimidation!]

Little Epilogue (Outlier) : [……Huh?]

Divine Aura (Omniscient & Omnipotent) : [———But only to everyone except for Kaito-sama!!! Ahhh, no no no. Just because I’m a divine aura doesn’t mean I can do whatever I want, there are lines you don’t cross! Intimidating Kaito-sama, even for a moment, is absolutely unforgivable! In fact, even waiting for him to adapt is a huge problem!!! I should be the one humbly adapting myself to his Sympathy Magic from the start!!!]
