Journey of the Fate Destroying Emperor

Chapter 1529 Myriad Devourer's Experience (III)

Chapter 1529  Myriad Devourer's Experience (III)

Wang Wei carefully approached the egg, and upon close examination, it was indeed an egg. 'A creature being nurtured in such an environment? It must be extremely powerful.' Wang Wei took a look and prepared to leave. He was worried that this creature's parents might come back and eliminate him as a threat. Then, an idea suddenly popped into his mind.

'What if I took its body?' He has been in soul form for so long, and the idea of flesh was enticing beyond words could describe. 'But it's probably not human. No, that doesn't matter since I can probably change my form. However, is there any danger in body possession?'

According to what he read, there is usually some danger from body possession from the residual will of the body.

However, this egg looked like a creature that hasn't fully developed yet, so Wang Wei thought the process might be less dangerous.

He looked at the egg, hesitating. 'Time is running out, and I need to be decisive.' He strengthened his resolve before rushing into the egg. He immediately made a connection to something, which he theorized was the creature's body.

However, the connection was not that deep, preventing him from knowing what he looked like.

Along with the connection, Wang Wei felt a power

nourishing his soul. He did not know what it was, but it was potent, and the feeling of growing stronger was quite pleasurable. Sadly, his happiness did not last long. An unknown intruder suddenly attacked him.

"Is that the original owner's soul?" Wang Wei thought as he saw a blurry humanoid shaped cloud attacking him. Wang Wei sneered before using his soul attack. He expected the attack to obliterate his opponent, but it did not. The humanoid creature's soul suddenly became blurry and was about to disappear, but another power manifested and prevented its death.

Then, that unknown power or entity attacked Wang Wei's soul. He immediately resisted by using as many soul attacks as possible, but it was pointless. The entity took a significant chunk of Wang Wei's soul with one attack. By the second attack, Wang Wei had only 25% of his body left.

'Is this how I'm going to die? No, I refused. I've come too far to accept such a fate,' he thought before using all he had learned about the soul to condense a barrier. His attempt was valiant, but the entity took another 10% of his soul.

Wang Wei stacked as many soul barriers as he could, but the fourth attack only left him with 5% of his soul left.

Despair rushed into his mind, but he did not give up. He removed all negative emotions and focused on his defense.

The next attack should have instantly annihilated him, but Wang Wei barely survived with only 1% of his soul. However, the endgame was near. The entity attacked one last time to annihilate him.

Wang Wei remained undeterred. He did not allow despair to take over his mind and focused all his mind on protecting what was left of his soul. At the last moment, an unknown power woke up deep from his soul.

"Willpower Manifestation," Wang Wei muttered as he paused the memory. He understood where his willpower cultivation started. He looked at the egg and smiled wryly. "It seems I have some destiny with the Fiendgod Race."

Fiendgods do not reproduce like humans. Instead, after being fertilized, the female Fiendgods will lay an egg. Wang Wei believed they developed his ability to prevent

weakening the female during the pregnancy period. What his soul encountered was a Fiendgod egg. However, from its location and lack of security, something must have

happened to its parents. The entity that almost killed him was the protection of the Primordial Will.

Wang Wei observed around himself from a three

dimensional point of view, trying to see if he could detect whether Hongjun was nearby. He knew it was futile, but he wanted to try. The result was as expected, so he continued with the memory.

With the power of willpower, Wang Wei's soul barely

survived the onslaught from the Primordial Will. However, he also knew it could not survive another attack, so it desperately tried to run away as it protected itself from its new power.

The Primordial Will struck again, severely injuring what was left of Wang Wei's soul, but he managed to run out of the egg. Unfortunately for him, he discovered his soul was on the verge of dissipating. He used all the knowledge he had and this new power to prevent the last bit from dissipating as he ran away, trying to find a way to survive.

As fate would have it, he soon discovered something. At first, Wang Wei thought it was another egg, but he soon realized that it was a world — it just looked like an enormous egg from his point of view. He hesitated briefly before entering.

The process was so smooth that even the natural barrier of the world did not react to his intrusion.

Wang Wei was immediately confused. He saw a dark world full of what he thought was lava. The sky was cloudy as a putrid miasma blocked the sky. He saw no sun, moon, or stars. In fact, he did not see any mountains, forests, or even water. 'Is this a world in its infancy of creation? If that's true, then I'm lucky.'

Wang Wei has read Prehistoric Novels and knew that the reason Hongjun was so powerful was because he was one of the first creatures born. He then used this opportunity to preach the Dao and become a Heavenly Dao Saint who

controlled the entire world. 'If those novels are true, then my future will be set. However, before that, I need to find a place to rest and recuperate.'

He looked around, and there was nowhere appropriate. Just as he was about to give up, his intuition warned him of a place advantageous to him, so he rushed over. Wang Wei entered what he believed to be another dimension. The place was all white with an endless blue lake.

"Why does this blue lake look familiar? Forget it, let's just rest here." He was tired and only wanted to rest, so he floated above the lake. His soul instinctively began to swallow the blue lake as his consciousness went dark. Wang Wei did not know how long he had slept, but he could say that he had had the best sleep of his life.

"That was wonderful," he muttered as he slowly woke up. He may have dreamed, but he was not sure. Regardless, this was the best nap he had had in his entire life. "Hmm? The blue lake is gone. More importantly, why do I feel better than before?" He checked his body and realized he was not five times larger than before entering that egg. He spread his divine sense to check every inch of his surroundings and his body.

"Wait, what happened to this world?"

According to his calculations, the world should already have life by the time he woke up. Then, he could start pretending he was the Dao Ancestor to create a cultivation path and merit, slowly rising to the pinnacle so he could find his way home. However, all he saw was chaos and destruction.

"Did I do this?" He asked himself, and the answer was obvious. The blue lake he absorbed was the energy core of this world, and by taking it to heal, he doomed the newborn world to destruction.

"Sorry about that," he said apologetically. However, he was not truly sorry. His death was imminent, and his survival was more important than the development of this world. 'The original plan is gone, so we need another. I guess it's time to continue the journey.' Wang Wei sighed to himself, preparing to leave.

He entered Primordial Chaos and watched this dying

universe for the last time. He sighed deeply before leaving.

However, Wang Wei never noticed a red spot surrounding his body. On his journey, he continued training his soul attack. Now that his soul was more potent, he had much room for improvement. Additionally, he wanted to learn about the new power he unlocked and whether he could fuse it with his soul.

Time was meaningless, a fact which allowed Wang Wei to take his time to improve himself. Everything proceeded smoothly until he encountered a battle. A woman and a man fought against an enormous black tiger. By the look of it, they were losing and on the verge of being killed.

'A mother protecting her son?' Wang Wei muttered. He did not know these people, but that's what he felt seeing the two of them. 'Mother? Despite her flaws, I missed mine. But why can't I remember her voice? Her face? No, not just her.

My life on Earth, I can barely remember it.'

Wang Wei focused his mind and realized all his memories from Earth were a blur. Besides his name and a few other things, he barely remembered anything else. 'Memories are what make me who I am. I can't forget them.'
