Chapter 6213: The Disappeared War Clan

“Ancient Era's War Clan?” Eggy exclaimed in astonishment.

Back when Chu Feng left the Holy Land of Martialism to enter the Hundred Refinements Ordinary Realm, he learned about a legendary figure from 50,000 years ago known as Zhan Haichuan.

And he was from the Ancient Era’s War Clan.

Later, Chu Feng stumbled upon the Ancient Era’s War Clan’s territory in the Hundred Refinements Ordinary Realm and obtained Ancient Era’s War Sword and Ancient Era’s War Axe, two of their nine great secret skills.

These two secret skills were initially a huge help to Chu Feng, but their usefulness diminished as his cultivation advanced. It eventually reached a point where he stopped using them. 

Later on, he learned that the Hundred Refinements Ordinary Realm’s Ancient Era’s War Clan was just a branch, and the Ancient Era’s War Clan was far more than that. 

When he was discussing secret skills with Song Yuwei, he learned some clues about the Ancient Era’s War Clan from the latter. 

Song Yuwei said an elder in the Golden Dragon Flame Sect had previously met an Ancient Era’s War Clansman, claiming that the clansman was powerful and had a hearty personality. 

From that, Chu Feng deduced that the Ancient Era’s War Clan was far stronger than he had initially thought, and their secret skills shouldn’t be that weak. He speculated the secret skills he had learned were either incomplete or inauthentic. 

That being said, powerful was relative. What was powerful to the Golden Dragon Flame Sect might not be truly powerful.

Much time had passed since, and Chu Feng finally met the Ancient Era’s War Clan once more. This time, he could tell that they were truly powerful. The number of True God level cultivators they had spoke volumes.

However, these Ancient Era’s War Clansmen looked vigilant as if they were up against a terrifying foe. They stopped a distance away from Chu Feng and assessed them in wariness and fury.

“Who are you? Why did you barge into our Ancient Era’s War Clan’s forbidden ground? What are you scheming?” the white-haired old man leading the army questioned. 

He was the strongest one in the group, emanating the aura of a rank seven True God level cultivator. 

“Elder.” Xianhai Shaoyu greeted the old man as he flicked his wrist and took out his Immortal Sea Fish Clan’s token. 

The Ancient Era’s War Clansmen widened their eyes. They recognized the Immortal Sea Fish Clan’s token.

The white-haired old man even asked, “You’re from the Immortal Sea Fish Clan?”

“Elder, I am Xianhai Shaoyu, and this is my little sister, Xianhai Yu’er. We’re both from the Immortal Sea Fish Clan. This is our friend. We don’t know what is this place; we were exploring a remnant when we unknowingly stumbled in here,” Xianhai Shaoyu explained.

Meanwhile, Little Fishy secretly informed Chu Feng of a matter.

It turned out that the Immortal Sea Fish Clan once had a partnership with the Ancient Era’s War Clan many years back, but for some reason, the Ancient Era’s War Clan suddenly disappeared at one point. 

Even so, they used to be on very close terms, which was why Xianhai Shaoyu opted to reveal their identity. 

Barging into someone else’s forbidden ground was a huge thing; any power in the Ancient Era’s War Clan’s place would surely turn hostile.

Xianhai Shaoyu was hoping to diminish the Ancient Era’s War Clan’s hostility toward them by revealing his identity as an Immortal Sea Fish Clansmen. His plan worked, as the Ancient Era’s War Clansmen didn’t look as agitated anymore.

But one of them still voiced his doubt, “You said you got here through a formation passageway? Why don’t we see any traces?”

“We don’t know much about the formation passageway either, but it harnesses extraordinary powers. Elder, you should have means to observe this place since it is your forbidden ground, right? Can you inspect that place? There should be a formation passageway there.”

Xianhai Shaoyu pointed to the place where they landed.

“This place was constructed by our ancestors. What you see is what we see. There are no special observation means,” an Ancient Era’s War Clansman replied. 

Most of the Ancient Era’s War Clansmen doubted Xianhai Shaoyu’s story.

“I swear that it is the truth. Otherwise, you can also follow us out and re-enter the remnant. It’s just that the remnant is enveloped by bizarre energy that erodes one’s mind, so I fear you might not be able to enter the passageway,” Xianhai Shaoyu replied.

They should not have been divulging the cultivation spot to outsiders, but from the looks of it, the Ancient Era’s War Clan might have some ties to it. Given the current situation, he thought that they should be honest about it.

The palace suddenly shook intensely as if a terrifying power was pulsating above. 

If not for the sturdy pillars, the palace might have collapsed there and then.

Chu Feng closed his eyes. Since he couldn’t see it, he thought he could try perceiving with his psyche instead. He was certain the trembling was coming above them, at a far distance away, and the cause was likely the origin of that terrifying energy.

That was likely where the treasure lay.

In contrast to Chu Feng and the others’ intrigue, the Ancient Era’s War Clansmen looked unnerved by the tremor. 

“These three young friends, this place is ultimately our Ancient Era’s War Clan’s forbidden ground. I can’t blindly take your words as the truth. We have to investigate the matter. Come with us first,” the white-haired old man said as he led Chu Feng and the others away.

Walking out of the palace, Chu Feng was met with a blue sky filled with white clouds and lush green mountains. The entrance to the palace was located in a vast mountain range. 

“This formation realm has existed since the Ancient Era,” Jie Shanxian told Chu Feng via voice transmission.

Chu Feng could also tell as much that he was in a formation realm, one that was created by a powerful world spiritist from the Ancient Era. This formation realm was beautiful, and it looked indistinguishable from the real world.

The Ancient Era’s War Clansmen didn’t make a move on Chu Feng and the others along the way. If anything, they were courteous. 

They brought them to a palace located amidst the lush mountain range and told them to rest there, though this was akin to imprisonment judging from the guards they had stationed around.

However, this was only normal as they needed to investigate their claims.

Xianhai Shaoyu paced around the palace as he exclaimed via voice transmission to Chu Feng and Little Fishy, “It looks like the treasure belongs to the Ancient Era’s War Clan. I didn’t expect them to have such a formidable treasure.” 

“How long has it been since the Ancient Era’s War Clansmen last appeared?” Chu Feng asked.

“It has been a very long time. Probably at least 2000 years. We thought they met with a mishap, but it looks like they went into isolation instead,” Xianhai Shaoyu replied.
