Mesmerizing Ghost Doctor

Chapter 4688: Significant Day

Chapter 4688: Significant Day

The Bifang bird lay languidly on its side, listening to his words without so much as raising its head. It finally spoke, “These three were born into extraordinary families, so it’s only natural they possess exceptional talent. Their parents are Xuanyuan Mo Ze and Feng Jiu; how dim-witted could their children possibly be?”

“This time, Xuanyuan Mo Ze didn’t encounter Feng Jiu, but she is indeed no ordinary individual. It’s merely a matter of time before she ascends to immortality. Those people won’t be able to stop her,” the Azure Emperor said slowly, his eyes narrowed as he gazed at the sky.

That day, Hao’er, Muchen, and Muyue explored every corner of Yunxiao Mountain, familiarizing themselves with its various peaks. They also observed the spiritual herbs and fruit trees cultivated in the mountain’s spirit fields, confirming that Yunxiao Mountain was indeed as their master had described. Aside from the three of them, there was only their master and the Bifang divine bird. The rest were, at most, mere puppets.

“Big Brother, Master lives alone in such a vast place, so why doesn’t he take in numerous disciples like others do? Then he would have people to attend to his needs, right?” Yue’er asked in confusion as she walked along, holding both her brothers’ hands. Hao’er squeezed her small hand and said as they strolled, “Our master has a simple nature. He has his reasons for not wanting to establish a sect and accept many disciples. As his disciples, we shouldn’t pry too much. Sometimes, knowing too much isn’t a good thing.”

“Big Brother, tomorrow our master will help us break the blood curse. I’m a little worried.” Muchen said, lowering his head and focusing on the ground with each step he took.

Hearing this, Hao’er looked at him reassuringly. “Don’t worry. Master is incredibly powerful, and Mother entrusted us to him and allowed us to become his disciples. He is someone Mother trusts implicitly, and therefore, we must also trust him. No matter what he does, we must believe in him. Don’t fret! Master will definitely break your blood curse.” Upon hearing these comforting words, Muchen nodded in agreement, his anxiety slightly eased.

Yue’er, who was walking beside them, overheard their conversation and chimed in with a cheerful smile, “After the blood curse is broken, Master will let us go down the mountain! Big Brother, have you thought about what you want to buy?” Before either of the boys could respond, she continued excitedly, “I want to buy seeds! I want the puppets to help me plant spirit rice so that we can eat delicious spirit rice in the future. I also want to buy lots and lots of other things!”

“Then do we need to buy a pot or something that we can cook with? We’ll have to cook for ourselves in the future, so we’ll need those things, right?” Muchen couldn’t help but ask as he looked at Yue’er.

“There seems to be a pot in that small kitchen at the cottage, but we can buy a new one and store it in our space,” Hao’er suggested. The three of them continued to chat as they made their way back towards the thatched cottage. Perhaps it was because they had each other’s company, the three siblings drew strength from their bond, so even though they were separated from their mother, as the days went by, they gradually grew accustomed to their new life. Early the next morning, they woke up before dawn, washed their faces and brushed their teeth, and then proceeded to their master’s cave abode on the main peak to wait for him. Today was the significant day their master would finally remove the blood curse that had plagued them. They felt a mixture of nervousness and eager anticipation.

Hao’er was relatively calm since the blood curse afflicting him had already been lifted. Today’s focus was primarily on Muchen and Muyue. However, much to their surprise, despite arriving early, their master did not awaken until close to noon.

“Come in!” the Azure Emperor’s voice finally echoed from within the depths of the cave abode. The three children standing outside exchanged hesitant glances before stepping inside together. As soon as they crossed the threshold of the cave abode, they couldn’t help but freeze in their tracks, their eyes widening in astonishment at the unexpected sight that greeted them.
