Shen Yuan froze completely, eyes widening in shock.
‘She…she teleported directly here?’ he murmured incredulously, realizing the shocking truth. ‘She’s a spatial cultivator…’
His heart pounded rapidly; he realized the implication of this. No matter how hard he tried, escaping from someone who seemed to have mastered the Law of Space was nearly impossible.
He had heard about nearly the entire Aurora Zone, yet had never heard of another spatial cultivator.
Spatial cultivators were unfathomably rare, their existence nearly mythical. Yet this mysterious woman before him had clearly displayed instantaneous spatial teleportation effortlessly.
Recovering swiftly from shock, Shen Yuan decisively retracted and concealed all his fierce aura, swiftly dispersing the powerful presence of his Heaven and Earth Severance.
His potent aura instantly vanished, becoming calm and reserved. He realized that antagonizing this lady wasn’t a wise choice.
Yet within his body, Shen Yuan carefully readied himself, Qi circulating powerfully, ready to unleash his one final attack even if it meant his death.
Yet, unexpectedly, as soon as his aura dissipated, the mysterious woman’s cold expression relaxed gradually. Her astonishing, icy violet eyes locked onto the void in front of him, as if looking at him yet not seeing him.
Shen Yuan vigilantly looked at the woman, wondering what was wrong with her, “Uh…senior?”
After several moments of silence, the woman finally focused her gaze on Shen Yuan; however, something vaguely flashed in her eyes. She parted her delicate pink lips, her voice melodious yet cold, “You…are…who?”
She asked in confusion, as if she could recognize him yet couldn’t understand who he was.
Shen Yuan’s eyes flashed. He knew this was his chance. “Senior, I am Shen Yuan, a disciple of righteous path who came here to look for treasure to fight against the Abyssal Demons.”
The woman’s body exuded an intense killing intent at the mention of Abyssal Demons, however, as if realizing or remembering something, all of her aura dissipated.
“You…why…seem…familiar?” She tilted her head and asked.
“Me?” Shen Yuan pointed towards himself.
The woman took a step towards him, directly teleporting just a few inches away from his body and inhaled softly, “This…scent…Big…Brother?” Her eyes sparkled with delight as if she had just found someone dear to her.
Shen Yuan froze on the spot, his mind turning blank as her words resounded in his mind. ‘Big…brother? Huh’
But before he could think more, the woman moved forward and hugged him tightly. She was shorter than Shen Yuan, her head reaching his shoulders as she placed her face on his chest.
He quickly came out of his thoughts, trying to make sense of the situation. But no matter how he thought about it, he had never met this woman. Not even in the weird dreams he had before.
“What…is your name?” He softly patted her back and asked.
She paused, focusing hard to remember who she was, “I-I think…Yi Qingxuan.” and finally said uncertainly.
‘Yi? Is she related to Senior Yi Tianyun? Wait is it due to the Heart I devoured? Is she reacting to that?’ He finally thought he had figured out the situation.
He slightly relaxed, but decided to not mention the heart to her. Who knows how she will react if he had really devoured the heart of her big brother. ‘Y-Qingxuan, do you remember why you were trapped there?’
She raised her head and looked at him with confusion, “Trapped? I-I don’t…know. I was just sleeping.”
Shen Yuan raised an eyebrow, “Hmm? You don’t remember anything?”
She closed her eyes, trying hard to remember her past, but her body started shaking, Shen Yuan hurriedly patted her head.
But a small amount of her aura leaked, sending out all the stuck disciples from the Mystique Realm outside of it. Shen Yuan realized everyone had left from their suspended state. But he couldn’t care less about that right now.
He tried to calm her down, because if her aura targeted him then it would be his end. Slowly, she calmed down before falling on his chest again.
“I-I…c-can’t remember.” She softly said with a sad voice.
Shen Yuan gently smiled while patting her back, “Don’t worry, it’s not your fault.”
While inside, his thoughts churned, ‘Is she really related to Senior Yi Tianyun? If yes then…how should I deal with her?’
Inside Shen Yuan’s Sea of Consciousness, Yue Lan’s amused voice sounded clearly, filled with barely suppressed laughter:
[My, my, Yuan’er. You certainly have a way with women, don’t you? She just woke up, and she already recognizes you as her big brother? What sort of heaven-defying luck is this?]
Shen Yuan felt his eyebrow twitch slightly. He inwardly sighed, feeling utterly speechless at Yue Lan’s teasing. ‘Don’t joke around at a time like this, Yue Lan. If she’s really related to Senior Yi Tianyun, this could be a big problem.’
Yet, despite his troubled thoughts, Shen Yuan’s hand remained gentle as he continued to softly pat Qingxuan’s back, trying to comfort her trembling body.
The woman seemed incredibly fragile right now, entirely different from the terrifying aura she displayed earlier.
Yi Qingxuan slowly relaxed in his embrace, the turmoil within her gradually fading. She leaned into Shen Yuan’s warmth unconsciously, whispering softly, “Big Brother… don’t leave Qingxuan again.”
Shen Yuan felt his heart soften hearing her gentle words. He had always been decisive, yet at this moment he couldn’t bear to push her away harshly.
Instead, he smiled helplessly, replying gently, “Alright, Qingxuan. Big Brother won’t leave you, so don’t worry.”
Inside his Sea of Consciousness, Yue Lan giggled even more gleefully.
[Aiya, so heartwarming. My Yuan’er really is a natural at comforting ladies!]
Shen Yuan inwardly rolled his eyes, deciding to completely ignore Yue Lan’s teasing.
He carefully observed Qingxuan once more. She was genuinely beautiful, like an immortal descending from the heavens.
She had long flowing black hair flowing down her back, with mesmerizing violet eyes and lips as dark as space with a rune on her forehead.
‘Who exactly is she?’ Shen Yuan quietly wondered. Her surname “Yi” strongly hinted at a connection to the World Raiser Sect’s leader, Yi Tianyun.
Yet her power and aura clearly exceeded what he had felt from Yi Tianyun. Her cultivation and spatial law mastery were on another level entirely, probably far beyond anyone currently in the Aurora Zone.
He was pulled out of his thoughts by Qingxuan’s soft voice, “Big Brother, can you tell Qingxuan…where are we right now? Qingxuan doesn’t recognize this place.”
Shen Yuan sighed inwardly, thinking rapidly before calmly replying, “This is called Mystique Realm. It was created by Senior Yi Tianyun, Sect Leader of the World Raiser Sect. Do you recall this name at all?”
Qingxuan’s eyes clouded over briefly, her eyebrows furrowing as if she struggled to remember. Eventually, she slowly shook her head. “Yi Tianyun? World Raiser Sect? Qingxuan… doesn’t remember clearly.”
Shen Yuan nodded gently, realizing it might take time for her memories to recover fully or…never.
It seemed her mind and soul had experienced extreme trauma or had perhaps been sealed for too long, making her memories fragmented.
He softly stroked her hair comfortingly, suggesting, “Don’t push yourself so much. Your memories will return eventually. Take things slowly, alright?”
