Aquarina and her friends learned about the existence of the underwater city where the Molluskians existed. Although they didn’t learn what the name of the city was, according to her parents, the city was enormous and bustling with people everywhere. Like that, they continued eating and enjoying dinner. Aquarina quickly shared the Giant Fire Ant meat with her friends. At the beginning they were rather reluctant, but after Justicio gave it a taste…

“Hmm?! Hey this is not bad… It’s good actually,” Justicio nodded. “It’s kind of sweet, flaky, and there’s also some citric and smoky flavor to it… There’s an annoying bitter aftertaste but it’s not terrible. Especially with some salt and sauce.”

He quickly dipped a large chunk of meat on a spicy sauce and took another bite, and then ended eating the whole thing.

“It’s too good with spicy sauce! Woah!” He said. “Aquarina, give me some more! Also for Goldie!”

“Chuuupiiii!” Goldie made a little sound as he started eating from the meat too, with tiny mandibles hidden within its cocoon.

Silvia and Agua glanced in silence at the scene, and then Pyuku also started eating it nonchalantly, he was a slime, so it wasn’t really weird for him to eat anything.

“Yeah it’s good.” He agreed. “Give it a go, Silvia, Agua.”

“Uuh…” Silvia gulped salvia. “The smell is inviting though…”

“I-If we forget they looked like ugly ants…” Agua muttered. “Maybe…”

The two closed their eyes and took a bite off a small cube of meat, the warmth juices, delicious and tender meat, and everything else mixed nicely together.

“Ohhhh!”

“Hmm!”

The two were surprised as well!

“See? It’s good!”

Aquarina laughed, serving them some more.

“Have all you want! I might’ve made too many… Don’t worry, it’s just the legs that are meaty, I am not going to risk trying the main body or something.”

Aquarina knew that the torso and body of the ants was where all the gross organs were, and she wasn’t in the mood to even try tasting those, as they were all gooey and green colored.

However, the legs were completely different, mostly made out of muscles, which was the reddish white meat they were eating.

Therefore, the flavor was amazing.

FLUOSH!

Eventually, as they ate happily, Justicio released an aura of flames from his body.

“Huh?!”

He noticed his entire body gained his insectoid armor out of nowhere, which turned from gold to red!

Above all else, his armor shape and form changed, the helmet resembled the head of a huge ant with sharp pincers, and the rest of the armor looked like their legs, torso, and so on.

He had lost the wings though, but his metallic armor claws became longer and sharper like blades, covered with flames.

“Shyeeeeh?!”

However, he wasn’t the only one that changed! He glanced at Goldie, who suddenly turned from gold to red, his oval shape became sharper, resembling a crescent moon made of red metal with two sharp red eyes inside, and covered by flames.

“W-What happened?! Aquarina, do you know what’s going on?!” Justicio wondered, looking at himself in surprise.

“Oooh…” Aquarina looked around. “Dunno…”

Agua, Silvia, Pyuku, and also the chief and Aquarina’s parents also were quite surprised by the sudden aura of magic.

“Looks like your Physique evolved, kid,” Nepheline said, as the chief nodded. “You probably Ranked Up again…”

“I-It evolved?!” Justicio wondered. “Ah! Sorry for yelling I just… am very surprised. I had no idea Physiques could evolve without rituals or cultivation.”

“Eating food made out of powerful monsters or materials is also part of cultivating,” explained Nepheline. “You ate a lot of meat from a monster with great quantities of magic and power which is compatible with your Physique, so this happened, it evolved.”

“Wait, so I lost my wings?” Justicio wondered.

“No, it seems you obtained a new form for your Insect Exoskeleton Armor,” explained Shade. “You see, Physiques don’t just have one ability or are just one linear path. They can diverge into many forms, paths, and obtain multitude of abilities. The higher quality and stronger the physique are… the more it can expand into many new branches. You’ve just expanded your physique, gaining a Giant Fire Ant Exoskeleton Armor. It seems it gives you Fire-Wielding Abilities.”

“I never had any affinity with the fire element before, so this is amazing news…!” Justicio was happy. “But why did this happen to Goldie too?”

“That, I don’t know…” Shade said.

“I think it is because Goldie was born from your own physique, Justicio,” Aquarina explained. “It was born when you defeated the Alchemy Spirit and assimilated its powers, right? So its technically tied to your physique! That’s insane. So the more your physique grows, the more it will grow as well. It probably unlocked its own fire mode.”

“T-This is incredible… Ugh, wait, does this means I’ll have to eat more bugs to gain powers from now on?”
