Chapter 656: Chapter 637 Awkward Meeting_2

“That’s right!”

Mavis’s eyes lit up as she took out a compass crafted from a glazed mirror.

The glazed mirror is a treasure of the Fragrance Allure clan, who possess the enchanting bloodline of succubi, and is connected to the power of the Luck Goddess, offered willingly by the young Fragrance Allure girl, Daph, in the past.

Now, Mavis has reforged it into a Luck Compass, which can point to whatever one desires in their heart.

She held the compass steadily with her delicate hand and nervously activated its power. An invisible force swept over her and then nothing else happened, as if it hadn’t actually worked.

“Start with those eight space rifts, then investigate the other eleven. Don’t overlook the rest. From strong to weak sensation, until you find—” Ivan gently reminded.

“I’ve found it! It’s that one.”

Before he could finish speaking, Mavis exclaimed cheerfully and pointed at one of the eleven space rifts, her tone definitive.

The Luck Compass in her other hand had lost most of its brilliance.

“Okay, leave the next matter to this sorcerer to handle.”

Ivan nodded and without further ado, signaled the three to retreat first; the situation ahead was unknown, and he couldn’t guarantee his own safe escape, let alone have the strength to protect others.

“I must go,” Mavis insisted stubbornly, immediately shrinking her form and transforming back into her small stone statue.

“Suit yourself.” Ivan stuffed her into his pocket, flickered, and moved toward the center, covering a considerable distance in the blink of an eye.

“Be careful!” Debra couldn’t help but call out from where she stood.

“Wait for our news at Sea Teeth Castle.” As he replied, Ivan transformed into the Void King Spirit Body. The tightly condensed spirit body glided like a thread snake, twisting its way toward the target.

Seeing this, Debra had no choice but to leave with Templer.

Not long after they left, the Void King Ivan had become crashed into a certain space rift. The rift slightly opened and swallowed him whole, leaving no trace.

As expected, the interior of the rift was filled with exceptionally active space energy and unstable space turbulence.

If it weren’t for his extraordinary achievements in space, he definitely would’ve turned back at this dangerous place.

Where Antoinette was trapped was certainly not a good place; rather, it was a special space known as the ‘interspace layer,’ which is essentially a thin membrane gap closely adjacent to the plane.

These layers are mobile, like floating and unpredictable bubbles.

Only during special times, special places, through special channels, can one possibly enter.

Now, with the favorable timing, location, and human conditions aligning, Ivan was confident of certain victory.

However, reality does not bend to human will. Before long, he was cut and bruised by the omnipresent turbulence, the Black Soul Tower offering insufficient protection, showing the bizarre nature of the Power of Space.

“Ivan, is there anything I can do to help?” Mavis asked worriedly.

“Just keep an absolute lock on Antoinette’s aura, don’t relax. Be cautious of sudden changes here to avoid wasting time,” Ivan replied, not feeling much troubled, despite how daunting it looked.

Not only was he a Void King Wizard, but he was also a Legendary Star Venerable, with extraordinarily vigorous and resilient lifeforce. Any minor wounds could heal within minutes.

As long as his recovery was fast enough, the damage from the space turbulence wouldn’t be able to incapacitate him.

Thus, Ivan, facing one peril after another, not knowing how many times he was slashed, finally squeezed through a thick barrier along the deepest rift.

It was another dead silent space.

There was not even light, only the all-encompassing darkness remained.

After finding solid ground, he was surprised to discover that his perception was severely obscured, similar to when he was a Level 2 or Level 3 Sorcerer, incomparable to before.

“We’re here; the body is not far ahead.”

Mavis and Antoinette had a unique bond and could sense each other’s presence without relying on perception.

Ivan didn’t doubt it and stepped forward, protecting Mavis as they advanced towards the other side, the sound of footsteps almost inaudible.

Actually, one thing was odd: they had arrived, yet Antoinette hadn’t responded, prompting some speculation.

Could it be that Antoinette had exhausted all her power last time, or had something else occurred?

After traversing a stretch of darkness, a faint reddish light appeared, illuminating a section ahead and the people and objects within that area.

Both were momentarily stunned at what they saw.

“Ah! Turn around quickly.”

Mavis suddenly reacted, hastily pulling Ivan to stand back-to-back.

However, the impact of the earlier scene wasn’t so easily forgotten by him.

To think that the dignified ancient Goddess was hanging upside down spread-eagle, not a stitch on her body, while a peculiar dark red flower hovered behind her, larger than a person, exhaling something towards her.

He didn’t even know what to say; the means were too crude.

But, upon reflection, perhaps this was indeed the brilliant manipulation of her good friend Vigidina, evidently meant to humiliate Antoinette with such a lowly method.

No wonder Antoinette hadn’t responded, she was pretending to be asleep.

“Ivan, you can turn around now.”

Upon hearing Mavis’s voice, Ivan turned and found that Antoinette was now properly dressed, only her clothes needed to be protected by power, or they would quickly dissolve.
