THE LAST PARAGON IN THE APOCALYPSE
Chapter 728 - 728: Arrived At MonsterlandThe flight from the Ant Kingdom to Monsterland is about nine hours, but could be done in under an hour if it were an active combat situation and one had to get there fast.
The combat jets are super fast and can traverse great distances quickly.
But since this is just a normal flight, they choose to relax and fly at their own pace.
However, nine hours later, they arrived at the badland known as Monsterland and were welcomed by some familiar faces.
“Good to see you again, War God Henry,” Klaus said to the war god he had met when he went to Blite Mountain.
He nods at his remark.
With him were four warriors, Klaus immediately recognized as true warriors.
The aura around them wasn’t that faint one on the greenhouse flowers, calling themselves geniuses of the Great Families.
They were Peak Transcendents but not war gods. Their attire suggests they are soldiers belonging to the Union Military.
“This is General Dane,” War God Henry said, gesturing at a dark-haired man about 45 years old with some battle scars on his arm.
The look in his eyes showed he was someone with great strength, and perhaps the muscles on him indicated he was a brute, just like his pal Danny.
“He is the highest authority here.” Klaus saluted, and the general and the three with him returned the salute. It was a formal gesture but one filled with respect.
“This is General Eric; he is the second-in-command and a swordsman.” A young man with a bald head and an athletic physique was introduced.
He gave a slight nod, making his bald head shine even brighter. Klaus couldn’t help but smile.
“This is General Manas. He is the top healer in this unit and the one in charge of keeping our soldiers alive here.”
A blonde man with an air of calm and healing nodded slightly. Klaus returned his nod.
“Then this is General Gordon; he is in charge of information gathering.” Another blonde-haired man was introduced, and he nodded slightly as well.
Per Klaus’s quick observation, his build and looks show he is an assassin and a good one. This qualifies him to be the one in charge of gathering information.
In other words, he is a spy.
All four were powerful warriors, and Klaus, who knew what the Badlands were for, could only admire them.
While the Forbidden Zones were filled with thousands of monsters, the Badlands were filled with tens of thousands of terrifying monsters.
Rumor has it that all seven Badlands have hidden monsters that haven’t been discovered yet.
Klaus knew about the dynamics of the monsters, but he never believed that their strength was merely at the Ascendent level.
He had the privilege of speaking with the Moonborns’ surveillance team, and according to them, aside from the terrifying Void Stage entities they had discovered, there were hidden ones even their systems couldn’t detect.
Of course, their estimation fell within the Void Stage, but they believed these entities were at the peak and had perhaps hidden themselves to break through first.
That was why Klaus came here.
The plan was to take back one of the lands that once belonged to humans from the beasts and monsters, and in doing so, check to see if there are indeed dangers hidden out of sight.
If this place were reclaimed, humanity would have more land for important developments that would benefit the masses.
“Nice meeting you all,” Klaus said. “I am also here with my team to train and perhaps see if we can finally reclaim this Badland and turn it into a place where humans can live.”
The four generals and War God Henry nodded.
Klaus had already informed the leaders of this zone that he and his team would need access to all information here and perhaps even classified information, since most data collected wasn’t readily available for anyone to review.
“Why don’t you and your team get settled in first? Then, when the rest arrive, we can sit down and do a deep dive into the situation we’re barely holding together here,”
General Dane said with a small smile.
The fragile nature of the Badlands wasn’t a secret. But hearing him say it so casually sounded rather funny. Klaus couldn’t help but laugh.
“Then let me and my team settle down first. If things go as planned, you all will be going home in a few months.” They laughed and started leading him toward a flatland spanning several meters.
War god Henry has already found a place for his team to settle down. He was the first to arrive.
General Dane asked, “Are you sure you don’t want to use the military tents we have?” Klaus had requested a flat area for himself and his team, as this would be their home for the entire training duration.
Naturally, they were puzzled, so he had to ask.
Klaus smiled upon hearing his words. “This place is enough for us. It’s perfect.”
After moving a few meters into the open space, he halted them.
Klaus then walked to the center of the field, placed his hand on the ground, and closed his eyes.
A few seconds later, the ground began shaking as if something was emerging. The War God, generals, and Klaus’s team stood still, watching him, wondering what he was planning.
Then their answer came. Thick ice walls started bursting from the ground, taking shape as they rose.
“Don’t tell me he’s about to create tents using ice elements,” General Manas asked, though he could already tell the answer.
Klaus was indeed using his ice to create tents for every last warrior he would train.
“This is unbelievable,” General Eric said, gazing at the majestic ice tents, perfectly aligned over the once-flat surface.
“The ice is full of life. It’s brimming with healing energy—very powerful healing energy,” General Manas, the healer of the Badlands, said, causing the other generals to shake their heads in shock.
“He’s creating healing chambers for them. With this, they won’t have to waste their energy healing themselves after training.” A voice answered their questions.
Up in the air, Nari and Queenie appeared, prompting the four generals and War God Henry to salute them.
Initially, they had planned to remain hidden, but seeing something remarkable unfold, they decided to join their sisters. However, for now, they chose to maintain their dignified Overlord presence.
When alone with Klaus, they will become themselves.
“You should examine them. I’m sure you’ll learn something valuable from them,” Nari said to General Manas.
“That would be inappropriate.”
Of course, inspecting someone’s work without permission wasn’t advisable in the military.
Though he might be a superior officer, he couldn’t simply pry into the secrets of any soldier without formal authorization.
So he hesitated.
“I don’t mind. If you think you can learn something from it, then feel free to examine it,” Klaus said as he flew toward them.
“You can even step inside one and occupy it if you want. It’ll help with your cultivation too.” He smiled.
“You five should move in and take this chance to witness the artistry of the most handsome warrior you will ever meet.”
They all burst into laughter as Klaus’s team started settling in.
