Chapter 3075: Attempted Communication
The decent success of the siege and missile technological systems that allowed the Esocline Federation to cause significant damage to the incoming vessels emboldened their confidence. It had been quite humiliating for the Sage-level powerhouse to have been that inept against the first tekvore that attacked them, having to defend on the Gatekeeper and the Omni-Martial to bail it out from an attack on its own territory.
This, however, proved that they were still worthy of being considered among the Sage-level powerhouses, as their power rapidly mowed down many an incoming aircraft, albeit the smaller and weaker ones that threatened to destroy them.
BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!
The power of the siege attacks ravaged the various crafts in the rear of the triangular formation of the rapidly approaching fleet. The sheer power and intensity of the attack was so great that the bright explosions ensuing from the collisions were so great that they lit up the dark skies of the night.
“Prepare yourselves,” Bodhisattva Maitreyi’s tone was calm, yet intense.
Her eyes grew serious as they focused on the incoming fleet that waded through the incoming attacks with a furious ferocity.
“Here they come.”
The sieges slowed down.
As did the missile barrages.
The closer the enemy fleet got to the Esocline Federation, the greater the lesser the intensity of the attacks were.
They didn’t have a choice.
The missile explosions were truly enormous, filled with Sage-grade esoteric explosives, and thus increasingly threatened to destroy the Esocline Federation the closer they detonated near the nation.
RUMBLE
The world shook.
Heaven and earth quivered as the violent clash between the Esocline Federation and the incoming fleet drew closer and closer.
And then, it arrived.
The fleet of aircrafts emerged from the pitch black skies with ominous power and speed.
The sheer diversity of the crafts caught even the Martial Artists off guard.
It didn’t seem like a standard military outfit with uniform military resources by any means. It was a hotchpotch mess of radically different kinds of aircraft that threw them for a loop.
“Do not be distracted,” Bodhisattva Maitreyi said with a sharp expression. “What is important are those within the crafts, rather than the crafts themselves.”
And she was right.
The Martial Artists took their stances as their expressions grew more intense.
RUMBLE
The dark heavens and the waters of the Great Nam Ocean shook as the aircrafts opened up dispatch doors slowly.
And there they were.
The air grew electric as hundreds of tekvores descended from within their aircrafts.
What the Martial Artists saw was a stunning diversity in the specimens of this particular people, diversity that rivaled even that of the diversity in their crafts.
Their skin colors ranged from paper white to pitch black.
Their uncovered bodies were distinctly masculine or feminine, and yet they were deprived of any reproductive organs, and even secondary sexual characteristics were smoothed out, leaving only masculine and feminine body figures.
Their eyes were cybernetic, and yet distinctly diverse in the manner of technology that it deployed.
Some eyes functioned seem to function like telescopes or microscopes, with multiple layers of lenses while others almost resembled an almost insectean eye structure with multiple lenses, forming an almost honeycomb like eye surface, while others were almost like blackholes that sucked in all light for maximum absorption of information.
Regardless, the one thing that all their mechanical and cybernetic eyes had in common was the fact that, despite their diversity, they all shared the glint of predatory malice that converged upon the Martial Artists and the Esocline Federation.
And yet, unlike last time, they didn’t immediate pounce upon the Martial Artists or the Esocline Federation.
Instead, the most forefront tekvore among them slowly descended forth, his propulsion system relying on electromagnetic radiation as a propellant to lower him down, causing a variety of lights to flux around him, like the lights of the aurora borealis.
His skin was a smooth silver, remarkably reflective of light, to the point that it was hard to imagine that it was organic or natural at all.
He radiated power far surpassing that of the other tekvores.
He slowly lowered himself non-threateningly before the Martial Sages of human civilization.
And yet, the air boiled with peril.
The atmosphere grew electric with tension.
The mood in the air grew dangerous as the distance between himself and the Martial Artists grew dangerous.
The tekvore could sense that, choosing to kill his hostility willingly so as to not provoke a conflict.
He instantly identified Bodhisattva Maitreyi as the strongest, as his silver cybernetic eyes focused on her.
His body language was intense.
His expression was chillingly composed.
His cybernetic eyes were cruelly devoid of warmth or any positive emotion as best as she could identify.
His mind sense was completely obstructed by this particular individual.
In the Martial World, it reflected that one’s Martial Mind was just as strong; however, the more she studied him, the more it became clear that he was not following the Martial Path.
Beneath the surface of his skin, or perhaps even his skin itself, was an extraordinary amount of high alien technology, unlike anything she had even seen in her life.
This was not a Martial Artist.
And yet, it was someone who could fight a Martial Artist with their own personal power.
“What are we waiting for?” Sage Sekiei of the Heaven Sect gritted his teeth with the chilling power of the descending tekvore. “We should attack it before it gets any closer!”
“Wait,” Bodhisattva Maitreyi calmly spoke. “The Emperor of Harmony has made it clear that peace should be pursued if possible.”
Her intense eyes focused on the descending entity, who took his time to prevent any violent outbursts from occurring from the Martial Sages. “This is a non-violent attempt at communication despite the fact that we have blasted many of its aircrafts. Therefore, we should give it an opportunity.”
It hovered just above land, almost as if it understood that it wasn’t welcome to set foot upon the Esocline Federation’s territory.
It opened its mouth slowly.
“ᛊᚢᚱᚱᛖᚾᛞᛖᚱ ᛁᛟᚢᚱ ᛊᛟᚢᛖᚱᛖᛁᚷᚾᛏᛁ ᚨᚾᛞ ᛟᚢᚱ ᚲᛟᛗᚱᚨᛞᛖ, ᚨᚾᛞ ᚹᛖ ᛗᚨᛁ ᛚᛖᛏ ᛁᛟᚢ ᛖᚲᛊᛁᛊᛏ.”
