Chapter 1442 Eldar Branch
Rowan licked his lips seemingly in a nervous manner, tremors passing through his spine, he was squeezing his hands so tightly that his fingernails had pierced through his flesh, eyes wide and breathing erratic, it was as if Rowan was having a mental breakdown, and that was not far from the truth, however, his thoughts would shock anyone who listens to them, and Seed was wrong about the thoughts in the head of his grandson, if he knew it was unknown what his next actions would have been, most likely it would be to kill Rowan there and then,
Seed chuckled, he had been afraid that his brave grandson might not have understood the enormity of what a Primordial was by his attitude toward an Old One like him, but it was a good thing that Rowan could be taught, and seeing a Primordial would surely destroy any arrogance he had in his heart,
“I know that seeing the form of a Primordial for the first time can be alarming, but take your time, and understand that no matter how mighty your talent, some things are just… greater. Think about it, my boy, can something so enormous ever be achieved by an immortal? We do not fully know what Primordials are, and it is most likely that we would never know what their nature is, and sometimes before the enormity of their existence, the only thing we can do, is acknowledge it and move on with our lives after we have the opportunity to see what the pinnacle of existence is like.”
“So, this is Primordial Life himself,” Rowan whispered, “He was not what I was expecting.” “This is what we can perceive of Primordial Life,” Seed corrected, a small part of him that he barely acknowledged felt that there was something odd about Rowan’s words but he chalked it up to nerves,
“What we know is that at the end of the Primordial Era, with all of their great enemies vanquished, including the Breakers, the Primordials all went to sleep, and their bodies became the domain that their children lived and flourished upon. The higher you ascend up the dimensional ladder, the more you will learn about the powers of a Primordial and the more of their nature you would be able to perceive, but as you can see, even if we spend all of eternity we would never succeed, we would never understand what a Primordial is, the distance between us and them is simply overwhelming.” Rowan shuddered and he went still, a weird glow arising inside his eyes that soon vanished, “I understand, let us move ahead.”
Seed stopped him with a hand on his wrist, “No need to be in a rush just yet, you need to understand the social and political dynamics of the Land of Miracles, but that is something I am sure you will come to learn very soon, I am too lazy to tell you about all the intricate functions of society, but what I need to tell you about is the top power structure in this place because ultimately that is where your focus needs to rest upon, your well-being is tied to their interest. If they are dissatisfied or feel threatened, it would be hard to bring them to your side.” Rowan frowned internally but he nodded, he was in a Primordial Domain after all, and he needed to follow the rules of the Land, seeing his acknowledgment, Seed began speaking quickly,
“Although it is claimed in the Eldar race that we are a singular authority, after observing the power dynamics here for a long time, I have divided the overarching structure of the Land of Miracles into three great factions and each is mostly equal in responsibility, at least that is what is known on the surface, however, underneath there have been certain uncertainties stirring that would subvert everything that had been set in place since the beginning of the Supreme Era, I believe I have already given you enough hints about those undercurrent, but there is always more to be discovered and you should be wise and keep your eyes open,”
Seed sighed, seemingly in realization, it was as if he knew something was heading towards disaster, yet none else was listening to him and he could only accept what was coming,
“I divided these factions into a feudal, military, and religious authority, and one of these factions is on the rise, swallowing the other two, I am sure this information is not surprising to you, the leader of that faction is your mother, and no matter how much blood is shed or the suffering that would be imposed on reality by her actions, she is bent on having her way, creating a true royal body to rule the Land of Miracle, and with your birth, you have been placed in the center of it all, for you are her only son, and that means you are her heir, because if she succeed, you become one of the greatest authority in the Land of Miracle.” Rowan rubbed his brows as if he had a headache, but his heart was rejoicing, “I guess that places a target firmly on my back,”
Seed regarded him and smirked, a bit of pity in his eyes,
“Like you wouldn’t believe boy, and you don’t only have to watch against the machinations of those around you who would love nothing but to use you for your power, or be used by you for their benefits, while still meandering through the internal structure of Elura’s camp and her requirements for you, while also dealing with your status as Breaker which would be known to the top echelons of the Land of Miracles, ah, my boy, you would be run ragged unless you understand the meaning of balance and find the silence in the midst of the storm.”
Rowan could not help but roll his eyes, “where would you be in all of this.”
Seed laughed, “Holding my wine and watching the show, I have given you enough help as it is, I could have thrown you into it without you understanding what you are about to enter, Let’s meet your mother, I am hiding your presence from all but the strongest immortals on the Land of Miracles, they are indeed curious about you and what happened that led to the destruction of the Frozen Road, be with your mother for a while, and soon you will be summoned to stand before them, and your fate would be decided,” He stopped talking and placed his hands on the shoulder of Rowan, and squeezed gently,
“Whatever decision they would make in there, I can assure you that I will not let them come for your life, and if that were ever to occur, I will ensure that you have a fighting chance. If you survive, you can earn more influence and leverage that achievement to push for more. Do not let down my trust in your capabilities.”
Rowan bowed, “Thank you Seed, that is all I needed to hear.”
Seed pointed towards a single branch that held an infinite amount of leaves, “That branch is called the Eldar branch, and it is where the majority of all inhabitants of the Land of Miracle reside, and so collectively we are known as the Eldar race. Isn’t it funny that an entire civilization made up of Primordial bloodline, can only live on a single branch on this tree when there are an infinite amount of branches in the Tree of Life?”
Not waiting for an answer, Seed continued speaking, “The majority of your dealings in this place would be in the Eldar branch, and I would be visiting it every now and then, when or if you become an Old One, you are permitted to claim a single branch for yourself, and that would be the basis of your power.”
Observing the Eldar branch, Rowan did not hide the amazement in his eyes; in a manner of speaking, this single branch was bigger than the entirety of existence. However, the dimension that it existed upon was separated from reality and yet was still a part of it. It would have been confusing for him but he had something similar, his Origin Land, but although he had this capability, it did not mean that he still understood how it works.
What he was looking at was a higher-dimensional application of power that should have gone beyond his understanding of space and time, and he could not wait to tear it open and see how everything worked, after all, that was the root of why he was here, to learn more about higher dimensional powers before he fully activated his Origin Land. He was sitting on a lot of valuable resources that he barely understood and if he made a mistake, his instincts told him that there would be no do-overs.
“I doubt that your eyes could see it, but over in the distance is my branch, apart from me and the many pets and other odds and ends I have been gathering from all over reality, it is mostly empty since I don’t allow life that are weak to proliferate on my branch because my path would corrupt them to follow my Destiny, and I don’t like billions of mini-mes moving around. Over there is your mother’s branch, and it’s where we would be heading next.”
