The World Conquest: Giving Birth To Become A God
Chapter 835: Atrium of LawChapter 835: Atrium of Law
With the guidance and permission of the Entity of Origin, Maximus arrived at the Atrium of Law.
The Atrium of Law was the convergence of all energy and laws in the Aeon Plane.
The instant Maximus arrived, he was bombarded by dense chaos energy, as if doused with a bucket of oxygen.
Fortunately, it seemed stripped of its corrosive property; otherwise, Maximus would have worried about his family.
“Welcome to the Atrium of Law…” the Entity of Origin greeted.
Looking around, Maximus couldn’t help but feel at peace.
The Atrium of Law was like a heavenly land of clouds and mist, easing all his pain and worries.
Walking on the invisible ground, he felt his power begin to be suppressed.
However, the suppression had limits, as his source of law and core of chaos origin remained as powerful as ever.
Although his path of law and abilities seemed to vanish, his power remained unchanged.
“It seems you are not affected by the rules here,” the Entity of Origin muttered in surprise.
As the first Architectural Wonder of the Aeon Plane, the Atrium of Law possessed unimaginable power.
One of its abilities was the suppression of all beings, whether an absolute or an overlord; it could strip everyone of their power.
When used against enemies, even a tier 11 being could easily kill those tier 12 dark beasts.
If not for the tier 13 dark beast around, the Atrium of Law was enough to repel the dark disaster.
Noticing Maximus resisted a power that even an overlord couldn’t, the Entity of Origin was shocked.
“How could the rules affect me when I’m above them?” Maximus smiled, continuing to walk toward the center.
“What a freak,” the Entity of Origin thought, knowing he possesses the source of chaos.
Soon, as they traversed the seemingly endless trail of whiteness, they arrived at the center of the Atrium of Law.
Unlike the plainness they had walked through, the center featured a lofty throne high above the sky, towering above everything.
Surrounding it were stairs leading to the top, telling everyone that only those who can rise high above are worthy of it.
Below, various obelisks representing each entity of law stood mightily like soldiers ready to protect and follow their ruler.
As Maximus looked around, he finally saw his family.
“You are here…”
Noticing his presence, not only his family but tens of thousands of powerhouses turned to look at him.
Unfazed by the crowd’s gaze, Maximus slowly walked toward his family.
After sending him quadrillions of units of plane origin, his family had gone into seclusion to advance to the Overlord Realm.
Since then, Maximus hasn’t seen them until now.
Feeling their bodies radiating the brimming power of Overlords, his smile couldn’t help but widen.
“Not bad, it seems you’ve all advanced…”
Breaking the silence, his wives rushed to his embrace, vying for his warmth.
Not favoring anyone, he hugged them one by one from Hazel, Erica, Luna, Livia, Angeline, Rose, Irine, Isabella, Emma, Jane, Skye, Denice, Lilith, Freya, Etheria, Iris, and Scarlet.
From the beginning of his journey until now, these women had stood by him through thick and thin, silently supporting him from behind.
They would rather suffer than let him down. Even if they faced endless mundane tasks, they were willing to endure everything just to help him.
Turning towards his children, from Liam, Lily, Max, Nathan, Lyla, Lydia, Sam, Luke, Serene, Nero, Cyra, Lux, Asha, and Neo—Maximus couldn’t help but smile, thinking how the seeds he sowed had grown into towering trees.
From babbling toddlers who couldn’t speak to young adults learning about the world, they had become great powerhouses capable of conquering anything they set their minds to.
As their father, Maximus couldn’t be prouder of what they had achieved.
Looking at his sons who already had family and children, he felt a pang of melancholy at how fast time had passed.
In the blink of an eye, his family of two or three had grown into towering branches, taking root and flourishing magnificently alongside him.
“This is the last stand. After this, we can be free and happy for all eternity…” Maximus promised solemnly.
Hearing his words, they didn’t doubt a single one, clenching their fists in full support.
“You have us, husband. There’s no need to work so hard alone.”
“That’s right! What’s the point of our training if we can’t even help you, father?”
“Grandfather, don’t be so hasty—leave something for us to fight for!”
“Hahaha, you’re right! As a family, how could I fight alone?” Maximus laughed, warmed by their words of support.
Easing the solemn atmosphere, they began to reminisce, talking about things that happened while he was in seclusion.
From the completed integration of the Etherium Void Region, the formation of three dimensions, the completion of the Shadow Void Land and Tower of Knowledge, over a hundred thousand void outposts, the merging of all paths and sources of law, the integration of the virtual realm, the rule stone array barrier, and more.
Discussing the progress they had made over the past millions of years, their eyes lit up as if showcasing their achievements.
Although he already knew most of what had happened, Maximus listened with gusto, as if his favorite heavenly music played in his ears.
While in seclusion, he knew the Aeon Plane had truly changed beyond recognition.
Powerhouses were like mushrooms after a storm.
Countless powerhouses, from old and new, rose like blazing lights, competing in the new era.
At the top of this power were the Overlords, overseeing everything from below.
Except now, instead of a mere six in attendance, there were thousands ruling a side of the plane.
They had become so common that the seemingly infinite Aeon Plane felt small.
Fortunately, they were about to face a catastrophe of life and death; otherwise, a war to reshuffle the world would have erupted.
Looking around the Atrium of Law, it seemed all the Overlords were in place.
Even Ascelon, Frir, Elvian, and Lazo, who had disregarded their contract with an Entity of Law, were present.
Feeling thousands of Overlords staring at him intently, as if facing their greatest enemy, Maximus smiled.
Like a sun overlooking all its subjects, Maximus slowly walked toward the throne of the Aeon Plane.
“There is no need to compete… I, Maximus Shadowcrest, am here…”
