Chapter 1133 - 1133: The Beginning of The Darkness [Part 5]

Villain Ch 1133. The Beginning of The Darkness [Part 5]

Mila felt her heart race as she approached Zael. Her mind spun. How was she supposed to seduce him? She had never done anything like this before. At least, not to an AI.

‘Yes, he is just an AI! Not a player!’ she reminded herself.

Luckily, Azura’s ease, the way she effortlessly pulled him closer, gave Mila confidence. The closeness between them caused Zael’s awkwardness to grow, as did the faintest trace of a smile on his lips.

Azura kept her hand resting on his arm, her fingers tracing gentle patterns against the fabric of his sleeve. “You’ve been carrying so much on your own, haven’t you?” she said softly, her voice soothing. “It must be exhausting, always being the one everyone depends on.”

Zael shifted slightly, his eyes flickering with surprise at her touch, but he didn’t pull away. “I… It is tiring, yes. But it’s my duty.”

“Duty can be a heavy burden,” Azura said, her voice like silk. She leaned in slightly, her shoulder brushing against his. “But even the strongest need a moment to relax, to feel… cared for.”

Zael’s cheeks flushed a deeper red, and he looked down, clearly flustered. “I don’t… usually allow myself such luxuries.”

Mila, seeing the opportunity, finally mustered the courage to join in. She moved closer, her voice soft and hesitant but filled with genuine concern. “But what about you, Zael?” She placed her hand gently on his other arm, her touch light and comforting. “You spend all your time protecting others, but who’s there to protect you?” It was weird since this question wasn’t really for Zael. It was for him… The one who was always on guard and had a bad trust issue.

Zael was silent for a moment, his expression unreadable. He looked between Mila and Azura, his brow furrowing slightly. His voice, when he finally spoke, was soft but tinged with bitterness. “I never thought that far.” There was a hint of sadness in his tone, as though the concept of someone caring for him was something he had long since abandoned.

Elio and Red_King exchanged glances. They shared a dry smile, and Elio leaned over to whisper, “Somehow, he looks like Alex.” His tone was teasing, a slight smirk playing on his lips.

Red_King chuckled quietly, his teasing grin widening. “One hundred percent Alex,” he replied in a low voice.

Father^Alex, hearing his name, shot them a quick look. “I’m not that shy,” he complained, his voice laced with playful annoyance. But his eyes drifted back to Zael, and after a moment of watching the scene unfold, he cringed slightly. “Okay… maybe kinda. I think…”

Azura, determined to push further, noticed the hesitation in Zael. The Devil Emperor was supposed to be bold, powerful, even seductive in his demeanor. But this Zael acted more like a shy, hesitant boy, unsure of himself. It intrigued her. What had happened to make this noble, gentle prince turn into someone that seductive? What could flip him from this humble, self-sacrificing figure into a bold, feared emperor?

And, more than anything, she found the dynamic… interesting. Playing around with a shy man like this was entertaining in its own way. There was a challenge in it.

She smiled, her fingers trailing along his arm before she reached up, her touch gentle but intentional as she cupped his cheek. Her eyes softened, her voice dropping into a whisper, intimate and sincere. “Zael… I love you.”

Mila blinked, her heart skipping a beat as she realized what Azura was doing. The suddenness of the declaration threw her off, but after a moment, she understood. Azura was testing the waters, pushing Zael emotionally to see how he’d react. Without thinking, Mila followed suit, her voice quiet but filled with emotion. “I love you too, Zael.”

For a moment, Zael was silent, his expression unreadable as he processed their words. The group expected him to blush, to become flustered, to react like the shy man he seemed to be.

But instead, Zael smiled—softly, sweetly, almost… serenely. “I love you both as well,” he said, his voice calm and genuine. His words didn’t carry the usual nervousness or embarrassment they expected. There was no blushing or stammering. Instead, there was a quiet warmth in his eyes, a kindness that made the moment feel almost tender.

“But…” Zael’s smile faded slightly, replaced by a gentle sadness. “I’m afraid that my unstable position would only drag you both into trouble. You deserve better than that. You deserve someone who can be with you without fear of bringing harm.”

Azura’s hand remained on his cheek, her fingers lightly brushing against his skin. She leaned in closer, her voice soft but firm. “We don’t care about that, Zael. We’re here with you, no matter what happens. It doesn’t matter what your position is. What matters is you.”

Mila nodded in agreement. “She’s right. We’re not afraid of any trouble that might come. We just want to be by your side. You don’t have to carry everything alone.”

Zael’s eyes softened, but there was still a lingering sadness in his gaze. “You say that now, but there are some things that I can’t control. My love for you… it could become a weakness. A weakness that others will exploit. I can’t bear the thought of putting you in danger because of my own selfishness.”

Azura’s fingers slid from his cheek to his jawline, her touch delicate but insistent. “Then let us protect you. Let us be your strength. You don’t have to do this alone anymore.”

Mila moved closer, her heart pounding in her chest. She placed her hand gently over Zael’s, her voice trembling but filled with determination. “We’ll face whatever comes together, Zael. You’re not alone anymore. We’ll stand by you, no matter what.”

Zael’s smile returned, but it was tinged with sadness. “You’re both kind… too kind. But I fear that love, in the end, is not enough to stop what’s coming.” His voice softened, and for a moment, he seemed lost in thought, as if he were contemplating his own future.
