Surprisingly, we managed to reach the stairs without any more incidents and ascended back up to the floor above.

Unexpectedly, we found a bunch of people camped out at the stairs this time as compared to the last time where it was practically empty.

It only took me a moment to realise why they were gathered here as most of them were sporting injuries and there were even some corpses that were laid out on top of a sheet off to the side.

Several of the people near the stairs immediately noticed us walking out of it and started whispering amongst themselves.

“Wait… Did they just come up from the floor below?”

“They went deeper into the Dungeon?”

“Who are they?”

“Girl, that’s the one who killed the big monster and warned us about it, remember?”

“So they managed to clear this floor and go to a deeper one?”

“Just how strong are they?”

“Why are they here now?”

Looks like we were a little late coming back here and the damage had already been inflicted on these people…

There’s a few healers trying their best to heal the people who were injured but it was clear that they couldn’t handle the number of patients with the number of healers they had.

And it looks like there were more of them stumbling in even as we speak.

The good thing was that there were a couple of knights stationed at the edge of the safe zone who were clearing out any dinos that were chasing after the injured Dungeoneers and clearing a path for more of them to escape into the safe zone.

“Is there anyone in charge here?” I asked aloud.

The Dungeoneers all looked in the same direction which gave me the answer I needed, and the answer was amongst the knights that were at the edge of the safe zone right now.

I turned to the girls, “Go help them clear out the dino– Err… The monsters and save anyone you can. Katsuki, can you report our findings to the knights and get their plan for this? I’ll stay here to help with the healers.”

I would have gone myself but seeing I’m the only healer here…

Unexpectedly, Lisa raised her hand, “I’ll stay as well, Aster.”

I tilted my head at her, wondering if she was going to stay because she wanted to flirt with me or something until she pulled out her satchel that contained her potions.

Oh right, I kind of forgot that she’s also an alchemist and is more skilled in making potions than me.

Guess even she knows how serious the current situation is.

I nodded at her, “I’m counting on you then.”

Lisa immediately started squirming while giggling, “Ehehehe~ Aster is counting on me~ Ehehehehe~”

The other girls all looked at me in response to that.

“I’ll also be counting on you girls to deal with those monsters.”

Their faces immediately changed into smiles and they nodded at me before they headed towards the frontlines.

As for Lisa and I, we started going around the area healing the injured with me using my Iatromancy and Lisa using her potions.

I knelt down beside a male and female Mahun who seemed to have been beaten up quite badly with the male sporting a broken arm and leg that were being held in a splint.

The girl wasn’t much better since it looked like she got dragged across the ground and hit something sharp, leaving a laceration across her side.

There was another female Mahun watching over them and she eyed me cautiously when I approached.

“What happened to them?” I asked.

“One of those monsters with some kind of spiked tail came charging towards us. It wasn’t even attacking us, we just happened to be in the way and it sent the both of them flying… I had to drag both of them here myself… It was a miracle I wasn’t attacked while I was doing that…”

I guess that was indeed lucky for her. I’m assuming the dino that ‘attacked’ them might be a herbivore that got pissed at them or something so it didn’t kill them.

Alright then, let’s see what I can do…

I’m dealing with broken bones and deep lacerations here… I wonder if there’s a better version of heal I can use now with–

Really? There actually was one? I thought I had to wait until tier three to get a better heal all this time… Or maybe my proficiency with it has just gotten good enough to learn this now.

I raised my hands and mumbled under my breath to act like I was chanting since the new spell didn’t give me its chant.

When I felt like I wasted enough time, I activated the new spell, [Greater Heal].

I had first cast it on the guy to see how effective it was since he was the one with the broken bones and I could feel my magic flowing into him, his wounds quickly mending in front of my eyes.

My eyes were on his broken arm as I saw the skin start to shift and I instinctively knew that the bones were knitting together properly. Good thing it was already set properly or else the bone would have regenerated in a weird position.

Also, it looks like this spell heals faster than the normal [Heal] spell as he was completely rejuvenated in just a few seconds.

The guy was still unconscious though, but at least he should live with this.

I then turned my attention to the girl and did the same as well, my magic completely mending her wounds to the point that not even a scar was left behind.

The other Mahun girl gasped and bowed her head immediately, “Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you so much!! I… I… Please, this is all I have!”

She then fished out a bag of coins to try and hand it over to me.

I raised my hand, “There’s no need for that. But… Did your party manage to kill any of the dino– Err… The monsters?”

She paused and nodded, “We hunted a few but they were the smaller ones.”

“Then I will just accept one Mana Crystal as payment.”

She blinked, “Are… Are you sure? I don’t think it’s worth that much?”

“It’s fine. You guys are all helping to deal with an emergency situation right now so I should also do my part.”

She quickly offered me the Mana Crystal while still thanking me profusely. Honestly I don’t even think I’m doing anything big either so I just accepted her thanks to move to the next group.

However, Katsuki came back to me right at that moment with the girls standing a short distance away.

“Mistress… We told the knight group leader about what we found and they told us they are preparing to pull out of here. But they are not willing to leave any survivors behind so they are requesting if we could help them search this floor for any survivors and bring them back here.”

Seems like they also know that this expedition was a disaster at this point and they’re just focused on damage control.

I nodded at her, “That’s a good idea, I guess I should fly around to scout?”

Katsuki shook her head, “We will handle that, Mistress. You can continue healing them with Miss Lisa.”

I frowned at that, “Without me you girls would not have any support magic though?”

“That is correct, Mistress. That is why I am here to request some support from someone hidden under you to aid us.”

Oh. Right.

Err… Funf, Sechs, Sieben, Acht, Neun, Zehn. Go with them.

I saw my shadow shift slightly to connect with Katsuki’s shadow for a moment before it returned back to normal.

Katsuki obviously noticed it and she bowed once more, “Thank you Mistress. We will return as soon as possible.”

She then turned back to rejoin the other girls and they left the safe zone to start their search.

With Katsuki in that party, they should be able to find the survivors easily enough in a jungle like this so I don’t need to worry about them.

And since I sent my Shadow Guards with them, they would be able to use my location to track back to this safe zone so I also don’t need to worry about them getting lost either.

If anything happened to them, the Shadow Guards still with me would let me know and I would immediately rush to their aid as well.

Right, now that that’s settled, I turned my attention back to healing the people around here and collecting my ‘fee’ from them while Lisa was also doing the same.

I didn’t ask for much and only requested a single Mana Crystal from a dinosaur they defeated as payment. If they had failed to defeat any at all, I just took whatever they offered as payment instead.
