As usual, we took an escort Request to guard a caravan heading towards Asttol City before leaving Billgaw City.

This time, we were simply guarding a merchant family going there to do business.

I was just about to consider if I should reach up and pat her head when Katsuki came close to me and whispered, “Mistress… I smell monsters up ahead… I believe it’s Goblins.”

Ugh… Why are the roads always so unsafe when we’re using it?

I nodded at her, “Could you take a few of the others with you and take care of them before they spot us?”

It’s only because Millie is here and I thought that it wouldn’t be a good idea to let her witness the slaughter of some Goblins or else I would have just waited until the monsters reached us before killing them.

Katsuki seemed to have also understood why I had chosen that and did not protest against it.

“It will be done, Mistress. And I believe I will be able to handle it on my own.”

With that, my Inugami maid then disappeared from view and Millie noticed immediately.

“Wahhh! Where did small sister go? She disappeared! Is that magic?”

I giggled, “Ehehehe~ That’s right. That’s sister Katsuki, she’s very good at magic, like making herself disappear.”

“Wow!! That’s so cool! Is she invis… Invis… Umm… Cannot be seen?”

“Nope, she went somewhere else. Don’t worry, she’ll come back in a little bit.”

The mother seemed to know why Katsuki disappeared and gave me a worried look which I responded with just a slight shake of my head to let her know there was nothing for her to worry about.

Sure enough, not even a few seconds passed and Katsuki had reappeared beside me, looking completely normal like she hadn’t just ran ahead to kill some Goblins.

In fact, the only visible sign that she had gone to kill some Goblins was the small pouch she had secretly passed to me containing the Mana Crystals of the Goblins she had killed.
