Chapter 1843 There's Nothing I Don't Dare To Do
Boom! Bam!
Different colored lights filled the sky above the City. Everyone within a kilometer of where the battle was taking place had evacuated. The City Lord had already started to evacuate even before the fight started, so there were no known casualties. But the loss of properties can not be avoided. The time frame before the fight was too short and other than escaping with their lives, there was nothing else they could do.
Bang!
A figure crashed into the ground, not moving.
"Kill!"
An axe made from axe cleaved through the sky, aiming at Grey's figure that was mid-air.
Seeing the giant axe, Grey tried to teleport out of its range, but Lord Everard made a move, a wind blade sliced horizontally. The force from the wind blade cause ripples to appear in the air as if the surrounding space was collapsing. This in turn interfered with Grey's use of the space element.
A muffled groan was heard as Grey's figure which just vanished into the void appeared a meter or so from its initial position. As soon as his figure appeared, the giant ice axe struck. Knowing that he could not avoid the strike, he gritted his teeth, cursing Lord Everard and his entire family in his head, using his earth element, he fortified his body's strength, before an earth sphere appeared above him. At the last minute, he also brought out his Dragon scales.
Crack!
The earth sphere did not even hold back the axe for a quarter of a second before it was broken through. The short delay was enough for Grey to avoid the axe cleaving his head. Moving an inch to the side, the axe lunged itself an inch into Grey's shoulder.
Grey hissed in pain, but he did not delay his movements, retreating as soon as he could while also destroying the axe.
Being forced out from the void caused him some internal injuries, he was forced to take the powerful attack of a Ninth stage Sovereign right after that, further aggravating his injuries.
He spat out a mouthful of blood, glaring at Lord Everard and Godric.
While Grey was glaring at the duo, the other two Ninth stage Sovereigns from Godric's group made a move. The duo were not as powerful as either Lord Everard or Godric, but they were no doubt Ninth stage Sovereigns. As soon as they made a move, Grey, who had not fully regained his bearings from the previous attack, was forced to evade once again. He instinctively wanted to use his space element to dodge the attack, but Lord Everard made a move at the same time, ensuring he didn't give him the chance to use this ability he was so proud of.
Grey wanted to curse at Lord Everard so much after once again being forced out of the void, but he wasn't even given that opportunity. Blocking the attack of the duo, he was sent flying from the impact. If the axe only aggravated his internal injuries while also giving him a big cut on his shoulder, this attack rocked Grey.
Rushing out of the rubble, he spat out a mouthful of blood. His appearance was far from the elegant youth his friends were familiar with. His face was covered in blood as blood dripped from the side of his mouth. His hair was disheveled, while the cut on his shoulder was still gushing out blood.
"Don't let him rest." Lord Everard ordered. It has been about a minute since the fight started, and to the shock of Lord Everard, even while being besieged by four Ninth stage Sovereigns, Grey has not only taken out Stephen, but another Eighth stage Sovereign has been taken out as well, his life and death unknown to the others. But just like Stephen, after taking a blow from Grey he did not climb out of the crater. From this they knew if he isn't dead, he is seriously wounded.
Lord Everard never thought Grey would be able to put up such a fight. But in the end, he was only one person.
Grey's cold eyes locked onto Lord Everard, even seeing the four surviving Eighth stage Sovereigns charging at him, he smiled with his bloodied mouth, "Good! You've succeeded in making an enemy of me."
The four Eighth stage Sovereigns who were charging at Grey suddenly felt like something was wrong. They weren't the only ones who noticed this, all Eighth stages Sovereigns noticed this too.
"Retreat!" Lord Everard roared and his body was covered in the wind element as he charged the Grey. For some reason he felt like Grey could kill all four Eighth stage Sovereigns.
His fear started to play out before him as he saw Grey who looked to be on the brink of death suddenly give off a strange brownish glow. The glow expanded, rapidly enveloping the four Eighth stage Sovereigns who were within twenty meters of him.
Hearing Lord Everard's order, the four wanted to retreat. But to their dismay, they noticed they could barely move their bodies, it was as if they were caught in a quagmire. No matter how hard they tried, they found it hard to move their bodies.
At the same time they wanted to retreat, Grey's figure appeared in front of the first person. Without even saying a word, he punched out with all his strength. Only a fool will hold back under such circumstances.
Bang!
After only one punch, an Eighth stage Sovereign exploded into blood mist. He couldn't be any more dead. At least for Stephen and the other Eighth stage Sovereign, there's a probability that they could survive, however, this Sovereign was finished.
Grey did not pause, after unleashing this devastating blow, he took another step, appearing close to the next Eighth stage Sovereign.
"You dare?!" Lord Everard was irate.
"There's nothing I don't dare to do." Grey replied and his fist shot out once again.
The surviving trio struggle more vigorously. Just as Grey's fist was hitting the next Eighth Sovereign, Lord Everard arrived and unleashed an attack.
