“Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!”

Explosions echoed continuously through the dense forest, the long stretch of poisonous vines rupturing inch by inch, creating waves of poisonous wind and blood rain. Countless plants and hidden swamp creatures were contaminated by the venom, instantly incinerated into ashes. Only the towering trees emitted layers of celestial light when touched by the venom, blocking the damage.

After a moment, the terrifying commotion finally ceased.

“It was just a plant…”

In the chaotic swamp, Jiang Chengxuan used his Five Elements Reincarnation World technique to isolate himself from the layers of poisonous mist and began his exploration.

After killing the massive poisonous vine, he followed its remains, hoping to find a demon core or something similar. But ultimately, he discovered that the poisonous vine was merely a plant. It attacked him out of hunting instinct rather than intelligence.

Jiang Chengxuan was slightly surprised but still collected some materials from the plant. Regardless, this spirit plant containing some kind of rule-based poison could be useful for alchemy. After all, the special venom required him to consume an antidote pill to fully neutralize it.

With this in mind, Jiang Chengxuan became even more cautious about the ancient ruins. This place was evidently more dangerous than the cave of the Donghe Immortal, bearing the secrets of an Earth Immortal sect. Its peril surpassed that of the Donghe Immortal’s legacy and testamentary secret realm.

While Jiang Chengxuan continued his exploration in the dense forest, he suddenly heard sounds of air being sliced behind him. Instantly, Jiang Chengxuan’s eyes narrowed, sensing several cultivators approaching rapidly.

“They arrived so quickly…”

Jiang Chengxuan murmured to himself, concealing his aura and using his Heavenly Tribulation Divination technique to cloak his presence, blending into the shadows. These cultivators, judging by their aura, were not from the Huang Tian and Jin She sects but from other minor sects.

After dealing with the remaining scattered cultivators, they too had entered the fissure of the ancient ruins and were transported to the swampy forest.

The battle between Jiang Chengxuan and the poisonous vine had drawn them here with its commotion.

“Hmm? What’s this?”

“Is this where the disturbance came from?”

Under Jiang Chengxuan’s covert observation, he saw seven cultivators descending into the chaotic battlefield, two of them at the Transformation Immortal level. No wonder they dared to approach the source of the disturbance so boldly.

Seeing the poisonous mist and the sinister remains of the vine, their faces turned grave.

“What kind of poison mist is this? It even affects us Transformation Immortals.”

A white-haired elder in luxurious robes spoke solemnly. Hearing this, another burly figure resembling a giant bear also noticed the anomaly and muttered to himself: ꭆἁNỌBËs

“This swamp is fraught with danger; it’s not a simple place.”

“Perhaps powerful beasts were fighting for territory, causing the commotion.”

His sharp gaze swept over the forest, pausing before he added:

“Or maybe someone has entered this place…”

These words made Jiang Chengxuan shiver, his eyes turning cold. He had snuck in to avoid conflict, not wanting to attract attention as a lone scattered cultivator amidst the forces of the Huang Tian Immortal and the various sects. Being noticed could lead to pursuit and death.

Unfortunately, the sect cultivators, realizing this possibility, exchanged glances and began spreading out to search, their celestial power flaring. Given the heavy poison mist, they abandoned sensing techniques in favor of a carpet search. This approach rendered Jiang Chengxuan’s concealment technique ineffective.

“Do I have to take action?”

Hidden atop a giant tree, Jiang Chengxuan pondered, his face solemn. Not far away, bursts of celestial power stirred the forest, dissipating the dense poison mist and churning the swamp into thick waves.

Jiang Chengxuan considered seeking another path, but all he saw was a chaotic forest filled with countless vines and layers of green webs, brimming with danger. Venturing deeper into the swampy forest might cause more commotion, alerting the sect cultivators and trapping him further.

Caught between two dangers, he could end up in an even more precarious situation.
