MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1486 - 1486: Myriad Prodigies: Evolution

“…Two and a half days,” muttered Valyr, his excited tone forming a stark contrast to his haggard appearance. “What previously took me over half a month to do… now only takes less than three days to do another time.”

“Congratulations,” said Ataraxia on the side with a slight smile, his appearance similar to the young man. “I can already sense how much the armor’s improved without even using a skill on it.”

“But you should still take a look at it, you know?”

“Of course.” Valyr nodded in agreement, feeling a hint of anticipation as he looked at the pauldrons he had just upgraded.

Taking in a few deep breaths to compose himself, he then proceeded to use [Superior Analysis] on it, only to be left at a loss for words by the time he was done.

[(+14) Blessed Elder Wyvern Pauldrons of the True Defier (Imitation)] (Level 82 | Lifebound)

Rarity: Legendary+

Foundation: 1st Tier

Defense: 1,927 – 3,212

Forge Quality: Exceptional

Additional Attributes:

> VIT +112

> STR +112

Forged by a blacksmith that has gotten close to the origin of the craft, this chestplate was previously inspired by the artifact ‘Empyrean Dragon Armor’, with the blacksmith hoping that the armor would be able to emulate even a portion of its strength.

However, with their hardships and journeys etched onto this armor, it has begun to deviate from this goal, gradually transforming into something that could stand on even ground with the artifact it was originally based off of.

With the quality of the craft elevated to a higher level thanks to the blessing of the Emissary of the Arcane, and with its potential elevated with the maker’s identity, it’s only a matter of time until it can become an artifact of its own, its limits unknown for now.

<Innate Skill 1: True Defiance of the Elder Wyvern – An Elder Wyvern seeks a path beyond the natural path of evolution, embracing the qualities of a True Wyvern before bringing them to a higher power.

Thanks to the maker’s identity, the blessing of the Emissary, and the materials of the Elder Wyvern imbued into it, the level requirement for the armor has been reduced by 20 levels.>

<Innate Skill 2: Blessed Artifact of the True Defier – With the blessing of the Emissary, this armor is now highly attuned to the existence of its maker, wanting nothing more than to fulfill its purpose until the very end.

While equipped, this armor increases all of the user’s stats by 5%. This effect is doubled once the full set is worn.>

<Innate Skill 3: Domain of the Elder Wyvern – ??? (can only be unlocked once the full set is worn)>

<Innate Skill 4: Awakening of the Elder Wyvern – ??? (can only be unlocked once the full set is worn)>

<Innate Skill 5: Manifestation of the Elder Wyvern – ??? (can only be unlocked once the full set is worn)>

<Blessed Elder Wyvern Set (True Defier Variant) | 1/6>

Set Effects:

– 2 pieces: Attack and Defense + 40%

– 3 pieces: HP +8,000 and MP + 5,000

– 4 pieces: All stats +40

– 5 pieces: All stats +8%

– 6 pieces: All previous set effects are enhanced by 25%

Remarks: Congratulations. You’ve officially forged an overpowered piece of equipment. Kind of confusing why it still isn’t considered a true artifact… but there’s probably a good reason why.

“…Holy shit.”

Although most of the item’s description couldn’t be checked due to some limitations, the parts Valyr could check immediately left him bewildered, causing him to wonder whether he was seeing correctly.

Though, even after confirming that he was indeed seeing correctly, he still couldn’t believe what he saw. After all, what was originally an upgrade from Epic to Legendary grade yielded a piece of Legendary+ grade equipment instead!

‘I feel like it’s mostly because of the ocular skill Ataraxia has,’ surmised Valyr inwardly, sharing the information he obtained from the pauldrons to his other identity afterwards.

Unsurprisingly, Ataraxia also felt immense disbelief from its description, not expecting such a massive jump in grade to occur whatsoever.

“The last time this happened was when you upgraded the False Wyvern Armor to Refined Young Wyvern Armor,” said the young man after regaining his bearings, to which Valyr nodded in agreement.

“Consider the guide you’re following… isn’t this armor piece already an entire grade ahead of what it should actually be?”

Valyr could only bitterly smile at those words. “It’s not like I was expecting this to happen anyway.”

“Though fortunately, it seems that this change also doesn’t affect the goal I was trying to achieve.”

Ding!

Bringing up his notifications after he was done looking through his pauldrons’ stats, Valyr was immediately greeted by a long list of notifications, most of which had to do with the armor piece.

[You have successfully modified the armor ‘True Wyvern Pauldrons’.]

[Due to the immense modification done, the armor has ascended to a level of power it previously could not reach, increasing the armor’s rarity to Legendary.]

[Due to the identity of the maker, as well as the blessing of the Emissary of the Arcane, part of the latent potential the armor could not make use has been made usable, increasing the armor’s rarity even further to Legendary+.]

[Thanks to this change, its name has been changed to ‘Blessed Elder Wyvern Pauldrons of the True Defier’.]

[The heavens are astounded by the outcome you’ve made to manifest, the potential of your newly modified equipment ascending past even equipment made for Myth-level beings. With that, the heavens shall reward your efforts accordingly.]

[Though the item you’ve crafted is still classified as an Imitation, it is now only one step from breaking away from its mold.]

Scrolling past the notifications regarding the armor piece, the young man eventually found the notifications he wanted to see, grinning the moment he read through it.

[You have completed a prerequisite quest to ascend your class to the next rarity.]

[Upgrade an item to Legendary grade (1/1).]

“Honestly thought I fucked it up when the pauldrons turned out to be Legendary+ grade,” murmured Valyr, widely grinning after receiving confirmation from the system that he could now evolve his main class.

“But fortunately, I guess the system also considers Legendary+ grade as a rarity that fit the criteria.”

Before deciding to go through this massive undertaking, Valyr initially thought of having both him and his other identity go with their original plans, wanting to make use of the opportunity to possibly do a couple forging quotas of his own accord.

However, with the fight against Erika reminding him that he was still lacking in strength, the young man decided to change his plans, immediately thinking of ways he could improve his strength without doing the obvious.

In the end, he chose to push through with the evolution of his main class, especially with the newfound fact he gained from the tournament that [Soul Split] effectively worked indefinitely.

Faintly gazing out one of the workshop’s windows to see what time it was, Valyr went ahead and commanded the system to evolve his main class.

Ding!

Hearing the ever familiar chime echo in his mind, anticipation began to build up within the young man as he felt the aura he let out gradually begin to change.

However, before he could fully sense what these changes were…

Thud.

Both he and Ataraxia fell unconscious.
